Chapter 2 - The System.

The system was still a mystery to Fad Zai, leave alone how he managed to get out of the place he previously was.

Were the two related? If then, how exactly did he managed to attain something like this? Who gave it to him and how? And what exactly was the purpose of this?

Wouldn't this mean that he now owes the person his life? And if so, wouldn't this make him just a slave to the person?

Those were the questions running in his mind, but unfortunately, he didn't have an answer to any of them.

He looked at the system dangling in front of his blue eyes, and when he focused on it just a little bit, the screen mysteriously shifted.

[Name: {{Fad Zai}}]

[Race: Human]

[State: Eggling]

[Martial Rank: Unranked]

[Health: 100]

[Qi points: 0]

[Level: 0]

[Exp: 0/100]

[Strength:10]

[Dexterity:10]

[Endurance:10]

It was fascinating, but reading at the first part, Fad Zai felt a bit awkward and uneasy.

Not because the system stated that his state is an Eggling, but how his name was basically being displayed.

It made it feel like the system did not recognized his name, Or maybe this name didn't belong to him at the first place. He felt like he was missing something but he couldn't picture what it was. But not wanting to dive on this deeper, he pushed it behind his mind as there were some more words displaying below.

[Inventory]

{Empty}

==

[Shop]

[Terror points:0}

{Note: The only currency to be traded with at the shop are terror points}

[Shop Locked. Unlock at level 10]

This part was abit strange to Fad Zai as he just couldn't make sense of it. If he was right, then the system stated that he needed to scare people for him to gain the terror points to trade with.

Imagine him, at his state scaring someone. That would be a total joke as Fad Zai looked nothing less than clown.

Just thinking of this made it even more scary to him, but unluckily, the system never granted him any points, implying that he couldn't scare himself to gain the points.

His eyes shifted downwards as there were some more texts displaying.

[Fighting Technique]

[Iron vajira: unlearned]

[The basic moves of the iron Vajira has been unlocked for you. Would you like to learn it now?]

The text displayed.

Fad Zai took a deep breath after reading the text displaying.

Iron Vajira, crimson shadow, those were the basic things that made him lose everything he ever had.

He wasn't even sure if he was ready to learn it after everything that had happened, not forgetting that just by displaying this fighting technique in a fight would put his life and the life of anybody close to him in danger.

He knew it. They haven't given up in searching. And if a smallest rumor could escape that the iron vajira has resurfaced, then they would surely come looking.

Fad Zai isn't strong enough to defend himself. The system has clearly stated that he isn't even at any martial rank. The weakest of all, and those that might come looking are at martial vanguard rank.

Basically, there are 14 ranks created based on a person's martial strength.

This rank are as follows.

1 Rank - Novice

2 Rank - Intermediate

3 Rank - Adept

4 Rank - Advance

5 Rank - Warrior

6 Rank - Elite

7 Rank - Gladiator

8 Rank - Champion.

9 Rank - Warlord

10 Rank - Titan

11 Rank - Archon

12 Rank - Sovereign

13 Rank - Vanguard

14 Rank - Divinity

The novice rank is the weakest of all rank while divinity being the strongest.

Sadly, nobody has ever reached the divinity rank except for Arma, who's known as the blind demon god, and the first wilder of the iron vajira and the crimson shadow cultivation manual.

Either way, with a deep sigh, Fad Zai pushed up the text displaying as he proceeded downwards.

[Qi Cultivation]

{The crimson shadow technique]

{Note: The user can not use this technique as he doesn't have any qi}

{Cultivate your qi to be able to utilize this cultivation technique.}

As it's known, qi is a vital life force or a flowing vital energy. Some might even say that qi is an unseen energy that flows through everything, binding all things together within the micro and macro elements of the universe.

With a proper guidance, cultivation of Qi isn't that headache giving. All you need to do is focusing on is breathing practices, mental focus, and physical movements that help to channel your qi.

But do this, there are nine phases that must be accurately followed during cultivation of qi; Discover, Gather, Circulate, Purify, Direct, Conserve, Store, Transform, and Dissolve

Luckily, based on his background, Fad Zai has some knowledge of this, but he still wasn't sure if he was ready to start cultivating this technique, not after everything that had happened.

He took a bitter gulp while moving on alongside the displaying words.

[Signature Cultivation Technique]

[The Black Judgement flames.]

[Error: User cannot utilize this technique at an Eggling state.]

[Evolve to an infernal sentinel rank to be able to utilize this technique]

[Below are your 9 evolutional path.}

{1. Eggling}

{2. Ember Hatchling}

{3. Ashwing Fledgling}

{4. Infernal Sentinel}

{5. Solar Sovereign}

[6. Starborn Archlord}

{7. Abyssal Warden}

{8. Luminous Incinerator}

{9. Eternal Sovereign}

If the system was right, then Fad Zai had to evolve to an evolution rank number four fot him to be able to utilize the judgment flames. It sounded like a long way to go, which made Fad Zai to wonder how strong might this cultivation be.

Does this mean that it was stronger than the crimson shadow?

It was even insane of him to think of it like that as the crimson shadow is known as the number one strongest technique in the entire universe.

He didn't just stop there as the were some more words displaying below.

[Quest]

[Main Quest: Master the basic iron vajira move within the next twenty four hours to receive 10 exp]

[Daily quest: Expose yourself to the sunlight three hours a day to receive 5 exp daily]

After getting done with the system and learning everything he possibly could, Fad Zai had to just think about closing the system and it did. And when he thought of opening the system again, the screen would immediately come displaying infront of his eyes.

"Husband!"

He suddenly heard Que calling.

This made Fad Zai to quickly turn around and look at her. He couldn't imagine for how long she has been there, silently watching him going through the system.

It must have been really awkward since he would look like he was spacing out. And judging by Que's expression, it didn't seem like she could see the screen, meaning that it was only visible to him.

"Can I ask you something?" She asked, forcing Fad Zai to gulp heavy as he already knew the question.

"When you first saw me, you called me Fai. Could she be the one you are betrothed to?" She asked with a low facial expression.

"Oh, I did?" Fad Zai muttered while smiling bitterly. "She... She was my older sister." He responded.

"Was?" Que asked, realizing Fad Zai has just use a past tense.

"Yeah. Was." He spoke. "She is among the very precious things I've lost in my life all because of people's greed for power and immortality." He added while clenching his fists tight, with a hint of vengeance flushing in his eyes.
