Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: Is It Wrong for a Disciple to Have Thoughts About Their Shishou?

As Scáthach's voice fell, Cú Chulainn took a step back with his foot, like a tense leopard, and pounced with a whoosh. Asher hastily avoided the attack, but before he could react, Cú Chulainn was already in front of him the next second.

"This punch might hurt a little, brat!" A reckless smile appeared on Cú Chulainn's face as he raised his fist and slammed it towards Asher's face.

A heavy punch accompanied by the force of the wind rushed towards him. Asher's pupils contracted slightly. He rolled over to dodge Cú Chulainn's attack, but Cú Chulainn didn't give him the slightest chance to breathe. He took a step and lunged towards Asher.

While the two below were still fighting, a purple-haired girl wearing a thin dress walked in from the back of the hall. When she saw this scene, she quickly ran to Scáthach's side and asked somewhat nervously,

"Mother, why is Ash fighting Cú Chulainn?"

"It's just a small competition. He won't be in any danger, don't worry," Scáthach's eyes were calm.

"But he'll still get hurt, right?! How could Ash possibly beat Cú Chulainn!" Uathach said with a complaining tone. "He could just spar with me."

"Is that what you call sparring with him?" Scáthach glanced at her adopted daughter. "Anyone who didn't know better would think you two were playing rock-paper-scissors."

Uathach knew she was in the wrong and lowered her head, muttering softly,

"But even so, you shouldn't let him fight Cú Chulainn. That barbaric guy doesn't know how to hold back at all."

While the two were still talking, Cú Chulainn's reckless laughter came from below.

"Brat, why do I feel like you've become much weaker than before?! This is so disappointing! What has Shishou been teaching you?"

As he spoke, there was indeed a hint of disappointment in Cú Chulainn's eyes. Judging from the current fight, Asher hadn't made much progress in the past two years.

"Forget it, let's end this early."

Cú Chulainn swung his spear and swept it towards Asher. It was a very tricky angle. Asher was still half-crouching on the ground. Even if he dodged this attack, all that awaited Asher would be a storm of attacks.

Asher knew he couldn't avoid this attack, but a surprising thing happened.

The moment Cú Chulainn raised his spear, Asher moved first. He dodged Cú Chulainn's attack in an extremely strange way, quickly retreating several steps to maintain a certain distance from Cú Chulainn.

The spear slammed heavily into the ground. Cú Chulainn raised his head, surprise evident in his eyes as he looked at Asher.

"Huh?"

It wasn't just Cú Chulainn. Even Scáthach stood up from the throne, surprise showing in her eyes.

Prophecy?

No, it wasn't that simple a prophecy. This way of circulating magic power wasn't learned from her... who taught him?

"Now this is getting a bit interesting," Cú Chulainn gave an excited smile. "Come on, do your best to please me, Asher!"

After saying that, he pounced towards Asher again.

---

Asher breathed lightly, lying sprawled out on the floor of the hall in a large "X" shape, panting.

"Not bad, you surprised me quite a bit tonight, brat," Cú Chulainn carried his spear behind his back with both hands, a smile on his face. "Much stronger than I imagined."

Uathach squatted down, holding her skirt, and asked with concern,

"Are you alright?"

"I'm fine. Brother Cú Chulainn was holding back everywhere, otherwise I probably wouldn't have lasted a few moves," Asher said, sighing inwardly, feeling inevitably a bit dejected.

He didn't expect the gap between him and Cú Chulainn to still be so large.

So large that even prophecy couldn't offset this difference.

This was Cú Chulainn. Even though he hadn't fully matured yet, he was already this strong. One could imagine how much his strength would improve in the future.

"Idiot, it's only natural that there's a gap compared to me," Cú Chulainn smiled faintly, with a disdainful expression. "Once your stamina can be like an ordinary person, you should be able to gradually catch up to me."

"Alright, I'll go back to my room to rest first. See you tomorrow," After saying that, he waved his hand and left the hall without looking back.

"Honestly, that guy is as annoying as ever," Uathach frowned slightly and muttered to herself.

"He's just annoying in personality. He's quite good to you all, especially Asher," Scáthach slowly walked down from the throne.

"Magic cauldron?!" Uathach immediately noticed the cauldron in Scáthach's hand, a surprised expression on her face.

"Is that what Cú Chulainn brought?"

"Who else could it be?" Scáthach said softly.

Originally, this matter should have been something she, as the Shishou, should have figured out, but the neighboring country was eyeing them covetously, and Scáthach couldn't leave the Land of Shadows casually.

"That guy's not bad after all," Uathach snorted haughtily, took the magic cauldron from Scáthach's hand, and curiously examined it.

Scáthach approached Asher, squatted down, and took out the staff in her hand.

Some strange characters formed a halo of light around Scáthach's body.

Rune magic, this was a very miraculous ability. From weakening enemies to strengthening oneself, to healing others, all these abilities were contained within Rune magic, and Scáthach was the Shishou of Rune magic.

Asher felt the warm light covering his body, and a very warm and comfortable feeling welled up, causing him to narrow his eyes involuntarily.

But soon, his gaze couldn't help but be drawn to Scáthach.

Scáthach had now changed into a deep purple slit long dress, and a pair of purple stockings wrapped her slender and rounded legs. The glimpse of fair skin between her thighs looked very alluring, and the faintly visible fair and soft skin on her chest even more irresistibly attracted people's attention.

Asher's eyes couldn't help but go a little straight, but he quickly came back to his senses and forced himself to look away.

Calm down! This is my Shishou! What on earth am I thinking?!

Constantly admonishing himself in his heart, Asher finally calmed down. However, at this moment, he suddenly felt a gaze beside him staring intently at him. Asher glanced over, and Uathach slightly pouted her small mouth, displeasure evident in her eyes.

Asher turned his head somewhat guiltily, pretending not to have noticed.

Fortunately, Uathach didn't immediately expose Asher, only staring at him with an unhappy expression.

Scáthach didn't seem to notice the exchange of glances between the two just now and stood up.

"With this, the injuries you sustained should be healed. As for the magic cauldron... I'll keep it for now. I need to engrave Rune characters on the cauldron to further strengthen it," Scáthach said.

"Mother is so biased," Uathach pouted unhappily.

But soon, a smile bloomed on her face again.

"But thank you, Mother." She also knew that using Rune characters consumed a considerable amount of magic power. If Rune characters were engraved on an object, even more things were involved. It was already very difficult for Scáthach to carve Rune characters for Asher.

"Whose side are you on anyway?" Scáthach glanced at her daughter, but was too lazy to say more. She turned around, the long dress behind her fluttering slightly with a gust of fragrant wind, and her high-heeled long boots stepped on the red carpet, leaving the hall.

Asher watched Scáthach leave, just about to get up, but was pressed down by Uathach, unable to move at all.

"Big Sister?" he asked in confusion.

"You were staring at my mother just now, weren't you? Staring at her thighs and chest," Uathach stared straight at Asher.

"You're mistaken!" Asher argued, his face red, but his gaze secretly shifted to the side.

"There's no way I could be mistaken. There have been several such instances before, but I thought of giving you a chance to reform, so I didn't say anything. I didn't expect you to be even worse now!" After Uathach finished speaking, she glanced again at the embarrassed Asher who had shut his mouth, and said faintly,

"Big... pervert."
