Chapter 17 - The Founding

At the summit of Mt. Fai, the skies parted in solemn silence. Storm clouds circled the great peak, not in chaos, but in reverence. The thousand-year dragon coiled above, its vast wings casting a shadow over the land. From this high vantage point, the world looked up and saw power given form — a new Domain rising not from conquest, but through unbreakable will.

Zaxton stood at the peak's highest plateau, robed in silver and black, with his dragon looming behind him. Beside him stood the Seven Sovereigns, each clad in their symbolic colors. Their power surged together — fire, shadow, beast, stone, void, future, and many-faced cunning — all swearing loyalty to the vision of a realm that would not bend to petty empires.

> "From today forth," Zaxton spoke, voice carrying with ancient weight, "Mt. Fai shall not merely stand. It shall command. A new Domain is born. One that answers to no throne, but protects the balance, and grows not by subjugation… but by ascent."

Then, one by one, the Seven Sovereigns stepped forward and announced the formation of their Halls:

---

The Seven Halls of Mt. Fai

🔥 Hall of the Molten Vein – Master: Kael of the Ember Veins

A towering forge-hall built into the volcano beneath Mt. Fai's western base. Lava rivers power the crucibles, and disciples train in flame manipulation, battle forging, and resilience under extreme pressure. Kael named his elders The Flamebound Seven, each a master smith or flame warrior.

> Specializes in: Fire cultivation, magma-forging, endurance combat

Symbol: A burning spine encased in iron

---

🗡️ Hall of Still Echoes – Master: Nyla of the Silent Vale

Built into the quiet cliffs overlooking the Eastern Drop. The hall is soundless, training disciples in stealth, time-skimming, and assassination techniques. Her elders, The Echoless, maintain strict silence — some have removed their tongues in devotion.

> Specializes in: Precision, assassination, temporal manipulation

Symbol: A blade crossed by a silenced bell

---

🐺 Hall of the Wild Fang – Master: Varkun the Howling Claw

A primal sanctuary carved into Mt. Fai's northern wildlands. Disciples bond with spirit beasts and learn to fight as one with nature. Varkun's elders, The Fanglords, are beastkin and wild-born cultivators of ancient tribes.

> Specializes in: Beast taming, instinct combat, survival cultivation

Symbol: A fang-pierced moon

---

🌑 Hall of Dimming Stars – Master: Meira the Gloom Seer

Hidden within an underground mirror lake. The hall appears only under specific constellations. It trains prophets, seers, and shadow-channelers. Her elders, The Veiled Sight, are all touched by dreamwalking or fate-vision.

> Specializes in: Divination, illusions, future-sight

Symbol: An eclipse held by chains

---

🛡️ Hall of Stone Crown – Master: Dorn Ironveil

The fortress-heart of Mt. Fai, Dorn built it from unbreakable ore beneath the mountain's central spine. Here, the toughest disciples are trained as living walls. His elders, The Earthwrights, are masters of terrain and metal shaping.

> Specializes in: Defense, crafting, siege mastery

Symbol: A crown made of mountain peaks

---

🎭 Hall of the Shifting Faces – Master: Sayra of the Thousand Faces

A maze-like structure on the southern slope, shifting daily. Sayra's hall trains spies, diplomats, and illusionists. Her elders, The Masquerade, are all former infiltrators from rival realms, each with a blood pact never to betray again.

> Specializes in: Espionage, disguise, illusion arts

Symbol: A smiling mask with no eyes

---

🕳️ Hall of the Hollow Flame – Master: Thalen Voidbrand

A dark, solemn crater on Mt. Fai's edge, where Voidfire burns a cold blue. His disciples are taught restraint above all — for each use of their power is irreversible. His elders, The Empty Hands, are those who've survived the void and returned.

> Specializes in: Forbidden arts, void cultivation, precision death

Symbol: A flame with a missing core

---

Population and Vision

With the halls announced, recruitment began in earnest. News spread like wildfire — warriors, orphans, scholars, fallen nobles, even cultivators from the Second Realm came to train. Within a year, Mt. Fai held over 12,000 disciples, with 49 elders across the halls. Zaxton left internal administration to his Sovereigns, trusting their leadership.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, Zaxton raised a single black banner etched with a silver mountain, surrounded by 7 runes.

> "The weak will not be stepped over. The strong will not be left unchallenged. Mt. Fai is the storm on the peak. Climb, if you dare."
