Chapter 6 - The Deal Sealed in Royal Ink

The sleek, high-ceiling boardroom of The Singhania Royale glistened with modern elegance and quiet power. Mahogany table. 14 leather chairs. A 100-inch screen. White orchids at the center. Floor-to-ceiling windows framed the skyline of Jaipur.

Seated at the head was Trisha Singhania, calm and sharp in a crisp white shirt, tailored black trousers, and her signature Rolex. On her left: her father Ranveer, cousin Monty, Raghav Chachu, and other senior board members of the Singhania empire.

Opposite them stood Reeva Khanna, commanding the room in a custom-tailored navy blue pantsuit, the blazer cinched at the waist with a gold Khanna crest pin. A silk ivory blouse peeked from beneath, her diamond-cut heels clicking confidently as she connected her tablet to the screen. Hair in a sleek low ponytail, deep nude lipstick, and a Cartier watch — she looked like the CEO of every empire in the room. She was flanked by her creative director Zoya Sharma, finance head Arman Mehta, and brand consultant Riya Das—all dressed with purpose.

Trisha (leaning back, smirking):

"Welcome to the lion's den, Khanna."

Reeva (without missing a beat):

"Didn't come to tame lions, Singhania. Came to make one roar louder."

Monty (murmuring to Ranveer):

"She really can go neck to neck with Trix."

The room dimmed. Reeva took center stage.

The lights came back on. The room was still. Then... murmurs. Impressed glances. Trisha tapped her fingers on the table, expression unreadable.

Monty (whispering):

"She killed that."

Ranveer (nodding):

"Pitch was exceptional."

Trisha (finally, sitting forward):

"Elegant. Smart. Ambitious. Just the kind of madness I like."

Reeva (raising an eyebrow):

"Is that a yes?"

Trisha (to the Board):

"Any objections?"

Everyone looked around. Silence meant approval.

Trisha:

"Get the contracts ready."

Reeva exhaled slightly. But just as the team began packing up...

Reeva (firmly):

"One more thing, Trisha."

Trisha (pausing):

"Hmm?"

Reeva:

"I want a separate Board of Directors for Toast of Royals. Independent from Singhania or Khanna. New members. New structure. We build it from scratch."

Trisha (tilting her head):

"Separate BOD?"

Reeva:

"Neutral space. Neutral control. Equal decision-making, no internal empire politics. We run it clean, modern, balanced."

A pause.

Trisha (then smiles):

"Approved. Handpick your candidates. I'll bring mine."

Ranveer (grinning):

"Well played, Khanna."

Monty (to Trisha):

"She really is your mirror."

Trisha (to Reeva, standing and extending her hand):

"Here's to the start of something reckless."

Reeva (taking it, locking eyes):

"Here's to fire served on silver."
