The sky seems blue and calm, but a lot of bad things can happen, as if every time we breathe, people can die, accidents and disasters might happen anytime. I take a deep breath as I close my eyes, enjoying the scenery of the mini garden behind the police station
"Hayden," one of my colleagues, Jacob, calls for my name as I stare at the garden
"What? I just finished my paperwork and decided to call a break, but now you've already called for me?"
"A murder case has happened," Jacob said as he lent me a report
I sigh as I grab my key
I drove the car to the apartment, and for shockingly, the apartment building is the same place where Everie lives, which concerns me a little- I should warn her later on.
I looked around the house and looked at the marked place where 2 bodies were found, and from the report, it's an adult couple. There are a lot of stabbing marks on the male's stomach and chest, while there's only one in the mother's neck. We did find a weapon nearby, which is a knife full of blood, just behind the female body.
"Heh~ must've been a couple of fights that got a bit extreme. The woman killed her husband, then she killed herself," Jacob stated as he was about to leave the place
"Wait," I stopped him as I felt off about the situation, then I looked around and saw a gap between the floor. I quickly got on my knees to check the gap, and surprisingly,, there's a secret small storage inside, and a teen hiding in there shaking the whole time
"Come out," I fully opened the wood floor and told the young teen to leave his hiding spot
His body is full of blood, and we can already assume that he's the one who killed them
"N-n-not me, I swear." He panicked and stuttered
"Let's talk at the police station, kid."
"no! nooo! It's not me!" I sigh as he won't leave the spot
"If it really not you, then please come with us so you can explain the situation," the boy nodded as he followed us
Jacob led the boy into the backseat of my car, then we drove to the police station
As the car drove, he suddenly said a word
"I didn't kill them. They made me"
"They? Who are-" I haven't finished my words yet. I suddenly heard a stabbing noise, making me stop the car immediately, and then I was honked by another car
Jacob looked behind first and scream "Shit!!"
I quickly on my door and checked on the back seat, but as I was going to stop him, he stabbed his stomach deeper than look at me with a hopeless look
"Are you dumb?! Why did you stop the car in the middle of the road?" an unfamiliar voice screamed at me, but then screamed as he saw the view of my back seat
"Police. Don't worry, situation under control." I showed him my identity card, then quickly got into my car to drive him to the hospital

"Have you heard? Doctor Jay has a filthy crush on Nurse Hailey!! He keeps a photo of Nurse Hailey in a bikini at his office. One of the nurses whispered to her friends behind the counter, and as the one who enjoyed these teas the most, I leaned forward to hear it clearer
"He used to be an athlete, but now he has a bloated stomach. He is not suited for Hailey!!" huh- an ex-athlete? Remind me of Hayden
"Everie!!" Hayden's voice screams for my name. Am I so tired that the moment I think of him makes me imagine he called for me
"Oi! Everie help!" I quickly looked and saw him and his partner, Jacob, holding a boy bleeding through his stomach
They managed to put the boy on the bed, then'd few nurses quickly entered the ER
After a few hours, the surgery was a success, but the child is still unconscious from blood loss, and now as under some nurse and Jacob, care is being taken while Hayden goes to get some beverages to talk
"What happened?"
Murdered case. An adult couple was found dead in your apartment building."
"Really?! Good thing I stayed in the hospital for the whole week."
"You stay in the hospital?! You're a workaholic. Can't you take some rest and enjoy walking anywhere else other than the hospital? "
"Shh~ don't nag me. Continue the story."
"That kid must be their son. He was hiding under the wooden floor when we arrived."
"Why did he kill his parent?"
"Could be,, but one of the police reports to me earlier that the one who's reporting is a young boy."
"He must be the one who reports it."
"Yup. Still, he said 'They made me do it' Someone forced them?"
"Did he take a drug?"
"I don't know."
"Wait, hold on- I just remember! While handling the surgery,, I managed to notice a few bruises on his body."
"Bully cases maybe."
"As a doctor, we receive a lot of depression cases due to an abusive family rather than bullying."
"Accompany me," Hayden said as he grabbed my hand, leaving the café together, then dragged me into his car
