"Didn't I used to live here too? Every night, we would sleep in the same room together, right?" he said casually.
Those words sounded... so ambiguous!
Rachel bit her lip. "But now..."
"What about now?" he shot back.
"Well, there aren't any extra bedding here. I put away your things from before; they haven't been washed or aired out, so even if I took them out now, they'd probably smell."
"Oh, that's easy," Jeffrey replied, pulling out his phone and giving a few instructions to the person on the other end.
Moments later, there was a knock at the door.
Rachel opened it to find Finn and a few bodyguards she recognized from the hospital, all carrying blankets, sheets, and pillows, walking right in.
As one of them entered, he politely said, "Miss Diaz, sorry to bother you."
Everyone always seemed to say that.
Rachel's lips twitched. What could she even say in response?
The only thing that came to mind was, "It's fine."
