Chapter 4 - C4

The four friends were sitting in a private room in a fancy hotel in Darkden. Everyone in the city knew who they were and feared them. The hotel's owner had made sure no one else was there because these guys controlled the city.

Across from them sat a man named Victor Santini. He was rich and powerful, but right now, he looked nervous. He wiped the sweat off his forehead as he spoke.

"I've got a job for you," Victor said, trying to sound confident but failing. "It's big. I need a huge amount of cocaine moved to another country. No one can find out. It's dangerous, but the money... it's huge."

John, the leader of the group, leaned forward. "How much are we talking?"

Victor smiled, trying to relax a bit. "Millions. Enough to set you all for life."

The room went quiet. John, Mark, Robert, and Jack looked at each other. They didn't need the money; they were already rich. But it wasn't about the money anymore. It was about showing everyone that they were the best, that no one could do what they could.

Mark was the first to speak. "It's risky, but we've done riskier things."

Jack, leaning back in his chair, nodded. "We'll need to plan this out carefully. I'll handle the transport route."

Robert, always thinking ahead, said, "I'll make sure the money is clean. No loose ends."

John looked at each of them and finally said, "Alright, if we're doing this, we do it right. Mark, you handle security. Jack, plan the route. Robert, clean the money. I'll deal with our overseas contacts."

They all nodded. The deal was on.

Victor, looking relieved, got up. "I'll give you all the details soon. This is going to be the biggest thing Darkden has ever seen."

After Victor left, the four friends sat in silence for a moment. They knew the job was dangerous, but that didn't scare them. They were used to danger.

John stood up and said, "Let's get home. We've got things to prepare."

At home, John walked into his big house outside the city. His wife, Elena, met him at the door with a smile.

"How was the meeting?" she asked.

"Just business," John replied, kissing her on the cheek. "Nothing to worry about."

Elena nodded, used to his short answers about work. "I'm making dinner. You coming?"

"In a bit," John said. "I have some calls to make."

Meanwhile, at Mark's house, things were a bit noisier. His kids were playing, and Mark couldn't help but smile as he came in.

"How are my little fighters doing?" he asked, kneeling to hug them.

Sophie, his wife, walked in smiling too. "They've been good today. How about you?"

Mark shrugged. "Busy day, like always."

Sophie understood. They didn't talk much about his work, and that's how they liked it.

Robert, on the other hand, was alone that night. His girlfriend, Anna, wasn't around, so he poured himself a drink and sat by the window.

Jack was back at his apartment in the middle of the city. He didn't have a big house or a family waiting for him, and that was just fine with him. He grabbed a beer from the fridge and sat down, thinking about the new job. He didn't mind the risk; in fact, he loved it.

The next day was all about celebration, though. Nico DeLuca, an old friend of theirs, was getting married, and they were all invited. It was a big event in Darkden, and everyone important was going to be there.

John stood in front of the mirror, adjusting his suit. "You ready for this?" he asked Elena, who was putting on her earrings.

"I'm always ready," she smiled.

At Mark's house, he was struggling to get his kids ready while Sophie searched for her shoes. "We're going to be late!" she laughed.

Robert, dressed up in a sharp suit, sent a quick text to Anna, telling her he'd meet her at the wedding.

Jack, meanwhile, was already waiting outside his car. He never cared much for dressing up, but he knew this event was important.

The four of them arrived at the wedding together, walking into the grand hall. The job they had taken was still on their minds, but for now, they were here to celebrate Nico's big day. Even as the party went on, though, their thoughts kept drifting back to the plan they were about to set in motion.
