Three weeks passed by unnoticeable, things at X city college seems more quiet than student ever expected it to be, it seemed like the old boring school days are back at least for other people but Lucy's never ending nightmares never end, sometimes she even got the feeling of being watched ending with her daydreaming series of strange images that were not clear.
"It won't hurt I promise" a male voice echoed in the background but Lucy could not see his face,she looked around and saw a young girl about the age of five tied up both hands and legs,her eyes were also covered with a black piece of cloth,she looked dirty and unkempt except her cloth that looked strangely clean,her body covered with lot of bruises, Lucy felt her heart ache,her lungs tightened,she felt suffocated,the girl seem to whisper some words which she could not hear,Lucy leaned forward to hear properly but just as expected she woke up.
Lucy eyes opened slowly,she was back….. damn that school bell, she cursed within her still sitting on the chair reluctant to stand up not until a certain person suddenly came to her view, her eyes widened in shock that the stood up.
"Vic…Victory…..I…..why are you here?"she stammered
Victory starred at her face that looked more pale than,she instantly furrowed her brows. Lucy felt her heart jump in fear,she wouldn't think I stole something would she?
"Are you okay?"
Victory's question made Lucy fall speechless, huh? Did she just hear wrong "why?…..yes I'm alright" Lucy replied unsure
"You don't look we'll make sure you use some medicine"she said and left
Lucy was taken aback,what exactly just happen?
Seeing victory come out of the class frowning, Thaddeus paused in his steps,their eyes met for a second,instantly he frowned as he remember something,he looked away and continue his step in fact he increased the pace
Entering the classroom,Lucy pale face was the first thing that came to his view, he frowned even more walking towards her he asked "what did she do?"
"Who?" Lucy was confused
"Victory!!" Thaddeus replied coldly
"Ohhh…her nothing,she only asked if I'm alright and told me to take my drugs
Thaddeus paused "you sure?"
Lucy nodded assuring him. Thaddeus sighed in relief "alright then let's go"
"It's closing time already?"
"How long did you sleep?"
Lucy blinker multiple times acting as if she did not understand him
Thaddeus laughed "don't think I will give another chance" he said and walked out with Lucy following behind
After bidding Thaddeus goodbye, Lucy had just finished locking the gate when she noticed someone was already inside and unexpected visitor
"Mr Agbebi!!!"
Thaddeus looked at the drug bag in his hand,he had forgotten to give it to her,so he had to turn back to her apartment. He had just reached gotten to her gate when he heard an unfamiliar voice.
He saw a man dragging Lucy out of the house
"Let me go!!!!"she yelled and yanked his hand away from hers. The calm,gently fragile girl that he knew was gone, she now looked murderous, her gaze was filled with hatred and anger
"What do you want?" Mr Agbebi yelled angrily at her
Lucy let out a sarcastic laugh "what do I want?" She asked back "hmmm why not take a guess!"
"You evil creature,tell me is it money? Fame? Cars? Just name it" Mr Agbebi yelled he was totally pissed
Lucy smiled "tell me if I am evil then you must be a monster then,I'll tell you what I want; give back what you took from me 12 years ago"
"You….."
"Why look so pissed, can't you?" Lucy laughed "each and everyone of you will pay the price,I'll make sure you all suffer what I went through all of it not one missing" Lucy said her tone filled with lust and determination, she gave Mr Agbebi one last look and slammed the door
"Shit...shit...shit..." Mr Agbebi cursed
Thaddeus turned back lost in thought, what a weird conversation, everything he heard felt strange and disturbing, taking his first step he stopped,he looked suspiciously at Victory who stood a few steps away from him, why was she her?
Victory looked at Lucy's gate then back to Thaddeus, she said "I had my suspicions that's why I came here and it seems I just found out something more interesting"she paused her gaze not moving away from the silent Thaddeus for a few seconds and then continued
"I really don't know much but I'm sure there is something about Lucy that we don't know of, something that is the reason why we haven't found the answer to all our questions and that thing is not something that happened a few month ago but probably when she was just a few years old,if we want to find out what that is, I think the answer will be in what happened 12 years ago" Victory said
"Why do you think it's something that happened 12 years ago?"
"Three weeks ago when I wasn't in my right senses I came to attack her but I witnessed something that was unusual with Lucy she felt like a total different person I asked her why my dad died and her reply was I was involved"
"You we're not involved? Involved in what?" Thaddeus asked
"That is okay hat I don't know which is why I think is something that happened 12 years ago"
"Her father and your dad were close friends and they both died, the last person your father called was Mr Agbebi….?" Thaddeus analyzed "I'll see what I can find on my end" he said
"Alright,there are several rooms my father doesn't allow me to enter I'll see if I can find anything related" Victory said
Thaddeus nods at her response he was about to leave but stopped and gave her a meaningful glance
"I'm in my right senses now I won't do anything that will harm her!!" Victory said helplessly understanding her gaze, she doesn't blame him for his weariness, her and Lucy were never on good terms with her mostly bullying Lucy it would be weird and suspicious if she suddenly becomes nice won't it?
Thaddeus gave her one last stare and walked away.

In Lucy's room, laying asleep on the bed, soaked in sweat,her heart beat getting faster and faster a different scenes flashed in her head.
"Lucy wait for me!!" A little girl shouted running into the garden behind the house, soon the scene changed to the hospital
"Her name is Lucy" A woman said weakly
"Daddy where are we going?" A little girl asked
"We will soon get there!" Her father said
"Dad…..it hurts" the little girl winced
"No….."
"Lucy!!!!"An older woman called
"Lucy!!!!"Her mother called
"Lucy!!!!"A little girl called
"Lucy!!!!"Her father called
"Lucy!!!!"A strange man called
Lucy moaned in pain in her sleep,the pain was unbearable that she kept on moving on the bed, no!!!! No!!!! Just as she taught her world was going to end a calm but a childish voice suddenly called
"Lily..."
Lucy woke up from her dream panting heavily, she could hear her heart beating so fast that it would soon pop up out of her heart, Lily...who was that? She had never heard of that name and this nightmare...felt more like something that was lost...it felt like a memory,something that was a part of her that had been lost for years,if this was her memory that she lost after that accident but she had not encountered that name?
Ding!!! Ding!!! Ding!!!
Lucy stared at her phone subconsciously sighing in relief, she picked up her phone and sighed in relief
"Hello!"
"You are still awake?" Thaddeus asked surprise,he wasn't expecting her to answer that quick thinking she might be asleep, hearing no reply from the other end,he spoke up again
"Another of those nightmares?"he asked
"Hmmm…but this time….it felt different more like a memory….."Lucy hesitated for a while
"I'll be coming over tomorrow it would be better then than saying it over the phone,rest up ok!" He said noticing her hesitation
"Hmmm!!"
Lucy ended the call,like a pain reliever all the tension in her heart disappeared,she then went back to bed to sleep,throughout the entire night she slept peacefully in-fact she had no dream.

Thaddeus started at his phone for a while after the call ended,he then went down stairs as expected the light were still on
Knock knock!!!!
"Why are you still awake by this time?" Richard asked shifting his gaze from the complicated looking chart board.
"Still on that case?" Thaddeus asked ignoring his question
"The culprit left no traces at all,it was almost as if it was just a normal accident expect for the stabbing and-"
"Lucy!!" Thaddeus completed it for his father. Richard bit his lips,he knew his son hate it when people talk about that girl like that.
"Actually dad I'm here because I need a favour from you!"
"Let me guess it is because of that girl!"
"She's innocent dad!!! Anyways do you have her background check result with you?"
"Yes I know it by heart" Richard said but still brought out a blue file and gave it to his son
"her mother died when she was born,her father died when she was 10 as for her remaining family members you know the rest"
Thaddeus listened to his father's explanation and schemed through the file in his hand not wanting to miss anything. He kept on scheming on and on but nothing seemed unusual
"Is there anything in particular that you are looking for?" Richard asked
"Dad….. this statement of her having car accident which led to her memory loss who told you that?"
" the girl herself and a few neighbors" Richard replied honestly
"But there is no medical report about it!" Thaddeus said starring at his father
Richard collect the file and schemed through Lucy's profile he really has not noticed it but there was truly no medical statement saying that she lost her memory
"They lied!!" Richard said shocked "but why?"
"What is they didn't?" Thaddeus said which gained him a questioning gaze from his father "just listen to me!! It says here that she lost her memories through a car accident but these are truly mere words that may seem like a lie but what if she actually did lose her memory but not through a car accident?"
"Domestic violence from her father?"
"No one knows, the person we can ask is already dead"
"Except their family doctor he told me himself about the loss of memory but why is it not in her medical report?" Richard said
"Are you going to investigate this?"
"It's not bad to give it a shot" Richard said
"Thanks dad, I'm going to her place tomorrow with Victory"
"Thaddeus be careful!!"
"Good night dad!" He said turning around he met his mom by the door "good night mom!"he said and left
Clara handed her husband a cup of coffee before taking her seat "what's wrong?" She asked
"I don't just understand why your son is interested in that girl?" Richard lamented
"Lucy?"
"Yeah!"
"They are quiet close in school,he's with her almost every time ?" Clara said "I see he figured out something you didn't notice " she added
"He takes his sharpness from me!" Richard boasted
Clara rolled her eyes "what are you going to do if he is actually right?"
"We'll have to find out then!!" Richard said starring at the blue files on the table.
