Chapter 79 - Mysterious Lady

Lin Feng stood alone on the vast, empty plain, his eyes scanning the horizon for any sign of Red Emperor. But there was nothing. No sign of his companion, no indication of where he was or how he had gotten there.

As he stood there, a figure emerged from the distance. At first, Lin Feng thought it was Red Emperor, but as the figure drew closer, he realized it was someone else entirely.

The figure was a woman, her long hair flowing behind her like a river of gold. Her eyes were piercing green, and they seemed to bore into Lin Feng's very soul.

"Who are you?" Lin Feng asked, his hand on the hilt of his sword.

The woman smiled, her lips curving upwards in a gentle smile. "I am someone who can help you," she said. "I can help you find your way back to Red Emperor, and I can help you unlock the secrets of the artifact."

Lin Feng's eyes narrowed. "What do you know about the artifact?" he asked.

The woman's smile grew wider. "I know everything about the artifact," she said. "I know its power, its secrets, and its dangers. And I know that you are not who you think you are."

Lin Feng's eyes snapped to the woman's face, his mind racing with questions. "What do you mean?" he asked.

The woman's smile faltered for a moment, and Lin Feng saw a glimmer of something else in her eyes. Something that looked almost like sadness.

"You are not Lin Feng," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "You are someone else entirely. Someone who has been hiding in Lin Feng's body for a very long time."

Lin Feng's mind reeled as he tried to process the woman's words. Was it true? Was he not who he thought he was?

The woman's eyes seemed to bore into his soul, as if she could see the turmoil that was raging inside him.

"Come with me," she said, her voice gentle. "Let me show you the truth about yourself."

Lin Feng hesitated for a moment, unsure of what to do. But something about the woman's words resonated with him. He felt a sense of curiosity, a sense of wonder.

He nodded, and the woman smiled. Together, they set off across the plain, Lin Feng's mind racing with questions and doubts.

As they walked, the woman told Lin Feng more about himself. She told him about his past, about the life he had lived before he became Lin Feng.

Lin Feng listened, his mind reeling with the implications. Was it true? Was he really someone else?

The woman's words seemed to awaken something deep within him. Something that had been hidden for a very long time.

As the sun began to set, casting a golden glow over the plain, the woman stopped in front of a massive stone door.

"This is the entrance to the place where you will find the truth about yourself," she said, her eyes gleaming with excitement.

Lin Feng's heart pounded in his chest as he reached out to touch the door. He felt a sense of trepidation, a sense of wonder.

What would he find on the other side of the door? Would he finally discover the truth about himself?

The door creaked open, revealing a dark and mysterious passageway. Lin Feng stepped forward, his heart pounding in his chest.

And then, just as he was about to step into the passageway, he heard a voice behind him.

"Lin Feng, don't go in there!" the voice shouted.

Lin Feng turned, his eyes scanning the plain. Who was it that was warning him?

But there was no one in sight. The voice seemed to come from all around him, echoing off the plain.

Lin Feng's heart pounded in his chest as he turned back to the passageway. Should he listen to the voice, or should he continue on his journey?

The choice was his, and Lin Feng knew that it would change everything.
