Chapter 78 - Atlantis

As Lin Feng and Red Emperor ventured deeper into the ruins of Atlantis, they encountered all manner of dangers. The city was said to be cursed, and many adventurers who had entered had never returned.

But Lin Feng was not deterred. He had come too far to turn back now. He pressed on, his senses on high alert as he navigated the treacherous terrain.

The ruins were filled with ancient traps and puzzles, designed to test the worthiness of those who sought to claim the artifact. Lin Feng navigated them with ease, his understanding of the ancient civilization that had built Atlantis guiding him through the complex mechanisms.

As they journeyed deeper into the ruins, the air grew thick with an otherworldly energy. Lin Feng could feel the power of the artifact growing stronger, calling to him like a siren's song.

Finally, after what seemed like hours of navigating the ruins, Lin Feng and Red Emperor reached the entrance to the artifact's resting place. It was an ancient temple, guarded by a pair of massive stone statues.

The statues glared down at Lin Feng and Red Emperor, their eyes seeming to bore into their very souls. Lin Feng could feel the weight of the temple's power bearing down upon him, but he stood tall, undaunted.

"This is it," Lin Feng said, his voice barely above a whisper. "The artifact is inside."

Red Emperor nodded, his eyes shining with excitement. "Let's go get it," he said.

Lin Feng smiled, and together they stepped forward, entering the temple. The doors creaked shut behind them, and Lin Feng could feel the temple's power surging to life.

As they made their way deeper into the temple, Lin Feng's eyes landed on a pedestal in the center of the room. On top of the pedestal lay a small, glowing crystal. It pulsed with an intense, blue light, and Lin Feng could feel its power calling to him.

But just as he reached out to take the crystal, the temple began to shake. The ground trembled beneath their feet, and Lin Feng's eyes snapped to the walls, where ancient runes began to glow with an ominous red light.

"It's a trap!" Lin Feng shouted, grabbing Red Emperor's arm. "We have to get out of here, now!"

But it was too late. The temple was sealing itself, and Lin Feng and Red Emperor were trapped. The walls began to close in on them, and Lin Feng knew that they had to act fast if they wanted to survive.

"We need to find another way out," Lin Feng said, his eyes scanning the room frantically. "We can't let ourselves get crushed."

Red Emperor nodded, and together they began to search for an escape route. But as they moved, the walls continued to close in, and Lin Feng knew that time was running out.

And then, just as all hope seemed lost, the walls stopped moving. The temple fell silent, and Lin Feng and Red Emperor stood frozen, waiting for whatever came next.

But what came next was not what they expected. The walls began to glow with an intense, blue light, and Lin Feng felt himself being pulled towards the crystal.

"No," Lin Feng shouted, trying to resist the pull. "Red Emperor, grab onto me!"

But it was too late. Lin Feng felt himself being drawn towards the crystal, and everything went black.

When Lin Feng opened his eyes again, he found himself standing in a completely different location. He was no longer in the temple, and Red Emperor was nowhere to be seen.

Instead, he found himself standing on a vast, empty plain. The sky above him was dark and foreboding, and Lin Feng could feel a sense of unease settling over him.

"What just happened?" Lin Feng muttered to himself, looking around frantically for any sign of Red Emperor.

But he was alone. And as he stood there, he realized that he had no idea where he was, or how to get back to Red Emperor.

The journey had just taken a drastic turn, and Lin Feng was left to face the unknown alone.
