Chapter 5 - From Betrayed To Desired

"The one who's not loved is the third party in a relationship, huh? Is that why you become a mistress and righteously drove my mother away?" Fiona could not stay calm at all.

"You unfilial daughter!" Albus gnashed his teeth and was about to charge forward to beat Fiona up.

"Dad, mum, it hurts. Blood, I'm bleeding."

Cassandra's face was pale as she tightened her grip on her mother's hand.

Upon hearing this, Albus said nervously, "Hurry up and prepare a car. We're heading to the hospital. Cass, don't worry. I've got your back!"

Linden rushed downstairs, picked Cassandra up, and they all rushed outside.

Fiona watched as everyone in the Saison and Oakley family left with Cassandra.

No matter what she said, they would not believe her. It was not that she said did not make sense.

They were just unwilling to believe her. She suffered a lot in this house that day. She was betrayed, insulted, framed and deserted.

Even if Albus didn't chase her out, she wouldn't have stayed...Five years later. In the conference hall of Crystal Ocean International Hotel.

Sally Sear from Group A and Joevy Biden from Group B were arguing.

Both of them wanted to be the room manager of a powerful guest.

Last year, a rich man from Dubai stayed in the presidential suite of the hotel for three months. After that, the rich man brought his room manager, who had taken care of him during his stay in the hotel, to Dubai for a life of luxury.

Everyone knew very well that taking care of rich guests was an opportunity to climb up the social ladder. They might become a rich man's wife if they got lucky.

Fiona's head was lowered as she spun the pen in her hand. It was as if what was going on had nothing to do with her.

"Fiona, Samson Hunt graduated from A University. If I'm not mistaken, you're from the same university, aren't you?" the general manager asked.

Fiona glanced at Sally and Joevy.

"Although we're from the same university, I didn't have much chance to meet him. He only attended class for a semester, and we've barely spoken. We don't know each other well."

"You'll be his room manager. Take good care of him. Our big boss personally invited him here, and he has a lot of investment rights. You must make sure that he's well taken care of."

Joevy was indignant. "Why her? Manager, you're biased. Samson Hunt is an extremely rich and powerful man, and he's one of the top billionaires in the country even though he's unmarried. I want to take care of him."

The general manager's expression turned dark.

"Remember who you are. You are the leader of Group A of the room management department, not the contestant of a beauty pageant."

"But Fiona belongs to the commerce department. It isn't suitable to transfer her over to become a room manager, is it?" Joevy reminded the general manager.

"It's a special case. Moreover, Fiona used to be in the room management department."

The general manager had already made up his mind. He looked at Fiona.

"Go and retrieve the key of presidential suite no. 1908 later. Chairman Hunt's personal assistant sent me some things that you should pay attention to. I'll forward them to you. His plane will arrive at 4:40 p.m. I have to go and get him from the airport at 3:30 p.m. You'd better get ready before that."

"Erm...In the afternoon, Fiona arranged Samson's room. Her cell phone rang. It was a call from Jagger Dawn.

"What's the matter?"

"Fiona, are you at the hotel?" Jagger asked anxiously.

"It's office hours now. Of course I'm here."

"I'm in room 823. James Baker is here too, and there are a lot of reporters outside. Please come up with something to chase the reporters away."

"Seriously?" Fiona could not keep calm.

"Can you stop f*cking men in the hotel I work at? James Baker is a celebrity. Of course there would be reporters.

"It'll be even more dangerous for me to do it at other hotels. l've recently invested in a TV series for his sake, so it'd be dumb for me to refuse his advances. Alright, let's not talk about this anymore. If I'm photographed, it'll also be humiliating for you, don't you think so? Hurry up and think of something."

Jagger hung up after he finished speaking. Fiona felt like giving Jagger two slaps across the face.

Five years ago, Fiona returned to her maternal grandmother's place after leaving the Saison family. Her maternal grandmother became gravely ill, and Fiona could not afford her medical treatment. To make things worse, she was pregnant and had no income. At that time, she happened to meet Jagger.

Jagger liked men, and it was impossible for him to sleep with women. His family was pressuring him to get married and have kids.

Hence, he forked out a sum of money for Fiona to save her grandmother. In exchange, she had to be his nominal wife.

Fiona had no choice but to rush to room 823.

Reporters gathered around the hotel and didn't make a move at all, and the security guards couldn't do anything about them.

The best way to drive them away was by attracting them with a bigger news.

The manager called Fiona. After Fiona hung up, she said, "What? Bianca Ellen? Are you sure?"

As soon as she finished speaking, many of the reporters looked at her.

Fiona glanced at the reporters and stopped speaking. She turned the corner into the stairway while making sure that some of the reporters followed her.

She continued speaking into her cell phone, "Bianca Ellen wants the room card of room 1908. That's Samson Hunt's room. Has Samson Hunt agreed to it? I see... give it to her, then. There's a lot of reporters in our hotel right now. She's a top celebrity. Remind her to dress up before going to Samson Hunt's room."

After Fiona said that, she went down the stairs. She went to the mall next door and bought a short red dress, a pair of sunglasses, a veil, and a mask.

After she was fully covered, she went to the 19th floor. She sneaked into the room 1908 with her room card and peeked out from the peephole. The reporters appeared in front of the door one by one.

Fiona smiled. After all the reporters were there, she would change back into her manager's uniform and saunter out. Even if the reporters were to rush in, there would be no one inside, and they wouldn't be able to get any photograph.

Fiona took her uniform out of her bag and took off the red dress to get changed. She heard the sound of a door being opened, so she looked behind her without being aware of it.

Samson came out of the bathroom...
