Chapter 10 - The Battle Begins

The Silverfang Pack was swift, their movements coordinated like a well-oiled machine. Nyra led them through the forests with Raghav close behind, the other wolves flanking them. The pack's senses were heightened, the tension in the air palpable. The howls of the corrupted creatures grew louder as they approached, their unnatural cries sending chills down Raghav's spine.

"Stay close to Nyra," Aarav advised. "The darkness is insidious. They will try to confuse you, to disorient you. You must stay grounded, connected to Nyra and the pack."

Raghav nodded, his hand instinctively resting on the hilt of the dagger at his side. He was still learning to use the power of the Tamer, but he could feel the energy surging within him. He was ready. Or so he hoped.

As they neared the source of the howls, the trees began to thin, revealing a clearing bathed in an eerie, unnatural light. The air was thick with the scent of rot and decay. In the center of the clearing stood the beasts—the corrupted wolves.

Their eyes glowed with an unsettling red hue, and their fur was matted, darkened by the corruption. They were larger than any wolf Raghav had seen, their bodies twisted and malformed by the dark force that controlled them. The leader of the pack, a massive creature with blackened fur and eyes like burning coals, stepped forward.

It growled low, the sound reverberating in Raghav's chest. "You are the Tamer?" The creature's voice was not a wolf's growl, but something far darker, far more sinister.

Raghav's heart pounded as he stepped forward, Nyra standing by his side. He had no idea how to fight these creatures, but he knew one thing—he had to protect the Silverfang Pack. He had to protect Nyra.

"I am Raghav Pandit," he said, his voice steady despite the fear gnawing at him. "And I will not let you corrupt these lands."

The corrupted wolf snarled, stepping closer, its body rippling with dark energy. "You cannot stop us, Tamer. The darkness is already here. Dominion will fall, just like the others."

Nyra let out a low, warning growl, her fur bristling. She was ready. The Silverfang Pack stood behind them, poised to attack at a moment's notice. Raghav could feel their loyalty, their trust in him, in Nyra.

But then, the battle erupted.
