Chapter 9 - The Awakening

Days turned into weeks as Raghav's training continued under the watchful eyes of Nyra and Aarav. His bond with the Silverfang Pack grew stronger, and his understanding of Dominion deepened. However, despite his progress, there was a feeling in the air—something darker, something looming just beyond the horizon.

Raghav had learned to command the pack with his voice, guiding them through the dense forests and over treacherous terrain. Nyra had become not just a guide, but a companion, and Raghav could feel the connection between them growing with each passing day. She was more than a wolf. She was his partner, his queen, and the leader of the Silverfang Pack.

But that bond was about to be tested in ways he couldn't yet comprehend.

One evening, as Raghav and Nyra stood atop a ridge overlooking a valley bathed in the light of the full moon, something unusual caught his eye. A flicker of movement in the shadows—faster than anything he had seen before. His instincts screamed at him to be cautious.

"I feel it," Raghav muttered, his voice barely above a whisper.

Nyra's ears perked up, her eyes glowing as she scanned the horizon. The pack, spread out below, was also on edge, their low growls filling the night air.

Aarav appeared beside Raghav, his expression grim. "It's them," he said quietly. "The creatures of the dark."

Raghav turned to him, confusion evident on his face. "The creatures of the dark?"

"They are the corrupted ones," Aarav explained. "Beasts twisted by a malevolent force—an ancient darkness that seeks to devour everything in its path. They are not just animals, Raghav. They are soldiers of the darkness."

Before Raghav could respond, the howl of a distant creature echoed through the valley. It was sharp, agonizing, like the cry of a beast in torment. But there was something more to it. A malevolent intelligence behind the sound.

"Get the pack ready," Aarav said, his voice now commanding. "We must move out immediately."
