Staring at the options, Uchiha Kirin couldn't help but sigh. It said to pick two out of three, but in reality, it was more like one.
If he didn't choose the bonus simulation attempt, the one-hour cooldown would go to waste—and with less than a day left before the Night of the Massacre, that was unacceptable. Unless he found another way to survive, there was no way he could give up the nearly cooldown-free simulation reward.
The explosive tags looked generous, but they wouldn't be of much help against Kage-level opponents. On the other hand, the Uchiha Throwing Technique did catch his interest.
"I'll take the extra simulation and the Uchiha Throwing Technique."
Kirin tapped the screen. A subtle, comforting wave of energy swept across his body. In the next moment, techniques and insights surfaced in his mind, and his limbs and core tightened—muscles now more powerful, ready to launch deadly projectiles at a moment's notice.
He threw a kunai. Then, without pause, a shuriken followed. The shuriken struck the kunai mid-flight, altering its path. Both projectiles embedded into the windowsill together.

Seeing his Strength and Speed both tick upward, Kirin felt both surprise and relief. A new plan for survival began forming in his mind.
If he could repeatedly refine his skills and grow stronger through simulations—then always pick Simulation Points as a reward—he could theoretically run many simulations in a short time. Combine that with the ability to transfer training gains back into reality, and maybe... just maybe, he could become strong enough to survive the massacre at the hands of Itachi and Obito.
Of course, it wasn't a perfect strategy. In the previous simulation, he had clearly refined his chakra and even learned the Fireball Jutsu, yet neither showed up in the reward options. Kirin suspected that the system could only offer three choices per run—so the rest were simply cut.
