Mathis and Selvyn's eyes widening at the same time, their expression being one of shock and slight fear.
"We need to meet up with the others for this.." Mathis says to Selvyn, his voice not much quieter than a whisper.
"That's right, let's go find them." Selvyn responded, her voice tinged with agreement and a bit of fear.
They both ran through the blood-red rain, hurrying to head where Theeven and the unknown man were.. time was of the essence and they both knew it.
After 1hour, they were both soaked but had found both Theeven and the unknown man sitting under the cover of a broken down building.
"Theeven! Unknown weirdo!" Mathis yelled out to the two.

The unknown man appeared behind Mathis, his face stern.
"What did you call me?" The unknown man said, his tone stern while his expression was indifferent.
"I called you, unknown weirdo because I have nothing better to call you!" Mathis yelled out.
Before Mathis could utter another word, the unknown man smacked him flying over 12 feet.
"One, you don't call me that. Second, I am standing right infront of you.. no need to yell." The unknown man said sternly as he looked down at Mathis who was now on the wet road.
Selvyn, without hesitation ran to Mathis and dragged him back under cover.
"Are you okay?!" Selvyn asked, her voice full of concern and worry.
"Never been better.." Mathis says in light sarcasm.
Selvyn then proceeds to also smack him flying, her expression grew annoyed.
"I am worried about you, don't joke around." Selvyn said, her tone dripping with annoyance and concern.
Meanwhile both Theeven and the man watched, their expression exasperated.
"So what did you come here for?" The unknown man asked, indifferent to the scene before him.
"Ah yes.. the thing that's ranked 8999 has made an appearance, and we need your help." Selvyn answers, her tone still fearful and weary. Not because of the upcoming fight, but instead because of the fact it was that man she was answering.
The man tries to get up but Theeven stopped him by grabbing his sleeve tightly.
"Not because we're in their party that we have to help them with everything." Theeven said, his tone dripping with selfishness.
The unknown man smacks his hand away, he was visibly annoyed.
"Not because I helped you, that means I care about what you say or about you at all. So, get out of my way." The man says, his tone dripping with annoyance.
[Theeven has left the party.]
"What- did he.. leave the party? Over something like this?" Mathis said, spitting blood onto the already bloodred floor.
Theeven looked on in anger, his fist clenching.
"Why should I risk my life for your problems!" Theeven yelled in anger and walked over to Mathis, he was seething. his voice echoing through the broken building.
SMACK! The sound echoed as Theeven slapped Mathis across the face, incredibly hard.
Mathis already dizzy from all the blows he had previously taken, falls over into the small pool of blood-red water beneath him for the third time now.. this time his mouth was bleeding slightly.
Theeven looked down at Mathis as blood trickled from his mouth, Theeven then scoffs and walks off arrogantly.
"Stress can change someone tremendously." The unknown man said before kneeling to Mathis and checking the slap mark.
Selvyn rushes over and also kneels down next to him. Before feeding him a medium restoration potion, her hands trembling slightly.
The man and Selvyn then proceed to help Mathis up.
"Dang, that hurt.." Mathis said to the two, his tone sounding oddly hurt emotionally, and confused.
The man quietly places his hand on Mathis's back, as Selvyn quietly places her hand on his shoulder.. they seemed to both understand how Mathis was feeling.
Before any other words could be uttered, a terrifying pressure was sent through the air.
"You didn't come to me, so I came to you instead." The voice saying this was the one of a masculine male.
A man walks up to the trio, he seemed to be around 190cm tall, towering over the trio. He wore a classic black suit and had his straight hair pulled back, if they didn't know any better the trio could most likely think he was a businessman.
"I pity you, loosing a valuable ally right before fighting ME." the man says, his tone dripping with sarcasm and mocking. His face holding a big, wide smirk.
"Why is it always me.. always in the worst timing aswell.." Mathis thought to himself, his hope faltering.
As he was falling into a spiraling hopelessness, he remembers his loyal comrades standing by his side and decided to give it one last shot.
"Remember, the promise you made to me? The one where you said that you would make it possible for me to see a Sunset for the first time." Selvyn says, her tone soft and filled with care.
"And for me.. i don't have anything really inspiring to say except for, I'll be by your side no matter what." The unknown man said, his tone filled with care. His usual indifference was completely gone.
Mathis reached to his side and clenched the handle of his katana, readying the invisible blade.
"Let's do this, the three of us." Mathis said, his voice filled with a new determination.. one that goes beyond the fear of dying or the heartbreak of losing one of his closest friends.
The three of them stood together, all three of them unsheathing their weapons in sync.
"What is this? Is this what the humans call power of friendship? How cringe, die." The man said before snapping his finger, a gate appearing and opening a gateway straight to hell.
"Not on my watch, I won't let you hurt my new 'friends'." The unknown man said before teleporting in-front of the gate and using the key he had taken from Mathis and locking the gate.

Mathis and Selvyn give him a thumbs up, the two of them smiling.. they were not afraid of the threat before them.
"DIE!" the creature before them yells out as black sparks of energy come off him, a dark aura that made the air almost unbreathable coming off him.. he was getting serious.
