**Chapter 18 - Sunset.**
"Can you tell me a little about your past? Mathis asked Selvyn curiously.
Selvyn seems to be thinking as her smile fades a little.
"Ah.. my past? I don't have any past, i just.. came to to exist." The girl answers, her smile faltering as she contemplates.
"So you have not seen anything of the original world before this?" Mathis asked, his expression a bit more sad and curious.
"No, I haven't seen anything of the old world.. that's right." Selvyn answered, her expression being one of sadness.
"Then I promise, I will fix this and make you see a Sunset." Mathis said with a determined expression.
"But to do that, we'll all need to grow stronger.. ill hold you to that promise." Selvyn said, her expression growing more hopeful.
"Wait.. since you were created by something.. and your an anomaly, does that not mean you can join me in endless waves?" Mathis asked, his expression equally as hopeful and determined.
Selvyn nodded in confirmation.
Mathis then proceeded to click on the endless waves button.
[Mathis and Selvyn(nameless entity) have entered the endless waves simulation, as a result of being in a duo the difficulty will be increased by 2x.]
Mathis unsheathes his invisible bladed katana, the faint outline of the blade could barely be seen as they looked around the bright, endless white void before them.
Mathis buys an SS+ grade dagger with all his shop coins and hands it to Selvyn.
"Thank you." Selvyn says gratefully, before taking the dagger from him.
[Quest - eliminate the simulated time manipulator. (Due to the power being too high, the time manipulation has a time limit of 1 minute and a cooldown of 2 minutes.)
Difficulty: 8/10
Requirement: kill the time manipulator.
Time limit: None.
Penalty for failure: death.
Reward for success: + 10 level, 1 random skill that is aligned with your path. (SS+ grade.)
After reading Mathis immediately uses his buff abilities incase they don't have the time to.
[Skill: solo buff lvl. 1 activated ]
[Skill: the ruler lvl. 1 activated.]
(Skill: the ruler buffs all party members near the user, giving them 3x stats for 10 minutes.)
Without any warning blood starts to pool under the both of them, it would seem that the time manipulator had already struck and retreated before they could do anything by using time-stop.
"Ack-! He must be using a hit and run strategy, we need to find him before his ability of off cool down." Mathis says to selvyn, his face a mixture of determination and concern.
Mathis then hands selvyn a full restoration potion, before drinking one himself.
"I'll be fine, I don't need the potion.. but thank you anyways." Selvyn says, her expression looked grateful but tense.
Before Mathis could insist, her body has already healed.. it would seem Mathis had forgotten that Selvyn could heal much faster than the ordinary human.
Mathis then proceeded to look around, since it was a completely white room it wasn't hard to spot a tall man staring from far away.. especially considering he wore red clothes.
[Support has lent Mathis skill: short distance teleport lvl. 6]
Mathis then proceeded to teleport behind the man and slash him, taking his arm off with one swing of his blade.
Before the man could make his escape, Selvyn charged in with inhumane speeds, closing the 30 feet gap within 3 seconds.
Selvyn then proceeded to use her dagger to slice and dice the time manipulator.

[Target has been immobilised due to aura of authority.]
Selvyn then takes the chance to unleash a flurry of even more slashes, as Mathis takes the chance to also unleash a barrage of slashes at the man.

"Thanks for that!" Selvyn says, a smirk growing on her face.
[Evolution has been activated and has replicated Weapon mastery lvl. 2 to its full potential.]

After a mere 2 seconds of both of them attacking the man together, they had reduced him to minced meat.. the once white, misty floor of the white void has turned red.
[Quest completed, rewards will now be issued to the contributors.]
[Returning to normal world!]
As Mathis and Selvyn blink, they find themselves back in that destroyed city, the stars and slightly red moon greeting them.
[Mathis has reached lvl 70, and as a result has gained a title that aligns with his path.]
