{CASTIEL'S POINT OF VIEW}
I woke up sweaty, hot and out of breath. I lay still on the bed and stared blankly ahead for a few minutes to calm myself. It has been like that for years now, since that day.
After I woke up at the hospital, I have no recollection of my past memories or how I ended up in the accident but I always relive the accident time and time again in my dream.
It haunts me now, on nights that I get stressed. Just like last night.
"Good morning sir, breakfast has been served". My housekeeper walked into my room to inform me.
"Breakfast?".
That means I'm late!.
I rushed off bed and got dressed, I brushed my brown hair to the back and chose a royal blue suit.
I'm meeting with an important business partner today and even if I don't feel like it I have to look like it.
"Won't you have anything before you go?"
The housekeeper appeared before I could walk out the front door.
I look back at her robust and weathered face.
She has always run the house since my father ran the company and when they left the country on their endless voyage they had turned her over to me.
They are returning in a few months and she won't have to chase after me to eat anymore.
And the house will feel even more empty, reminding me of how lonely and miserable I am.
"Good morning sir" My driver greeted me from behind the wheel.
I nodded in response and gave him the cue to start the car.
I have stopped driving since that day and still haven't overcome the trauma to drive again.
"Go to the company now, I would be having lunch with a business partner, be on standby" I informed him as I checked my schedule for the day.
My personal assistant sent it to me earlier today, news from the car radio travelled to my ears distracting.
~Another night being was spotted this morning towards the suburbs in S-city and everyone is advised to stay off that part of the city~
The news person announced.
The mystery of night-beings or vampires it's like a legend coming to life.
Life was normal and safe until one day they caught the first one after attacking and feeding off a person in broad daylight.
It gets scary too when you don't know when they would pounce on you out of thin air.
"Good morning sir" My personal assistant greeted me as I got out of the elevator.
Her rancid and choking perfume hit me in the face and I tried my best not to grimace in disgust.
She is the longest one I ever had, the ones before her could not withstand me for long and I can't blame them.
"Since your morning is not occupied, I prepared some documents that need your signature. Although there are quite a lot." She followed me into my office and I wish she could get out and leave me alone.
The smell of her perfume filled the room in no time and I felt suffocating and nauseated.
"Okay, bring them". I replied and was relieved when she walked out to get them.
She bent to drop the file before me and her hand briefly brushed against mine for a few seconds.
A button was undone on the top of her chest and I stared blankly at her as she displayed her breasts at me.
Her expression darkened when she noticed I was staring at her like she wanted.
We passed through this phase few days ago and now again and in maybe few days time but it won't change the fact that I can't fuck her like she wanted.
"Let me know when you are done" she said with an awkward smile as her green eyes stared at me before she shyly looked away in embarrassment.
"I'm sorry Leah, I'm not just interested it's not you".
In no time, Leah popped in to remind me of my plan to have lunch outside and I thanked her even though she was still grumpy from our exchange from this morning.
The place we chose was just about a seven minute drive away and I walked into the private room I booked at the Chinese restaurant.
I got there first and I checked my watch to see that I was a few minutes earlier than the time.
After a ten minute wait, the door opened and he walked in.
I perched up slightly from where I was seated.
The silver-grey eyes that stared back at me felt like a jolt of lighting on my skin.
I forgot how to act for a minute until he spoke.
"CEO Alvarez?" He asked in his deep baritone voice.
And I snapped out of the daze and nodded immediately.
"I'm Seth D'Alesandro" he introduced and stretched out a hand.
I accepted it immediately and a frown slightly drew my brows together.
His palm feels cold, colder than any person I have ever touched.
A waiter walked in to take our orders and that gave me an opportunity to get a grip on myself.
He discussed what he wanted with her and I forgot to look into the menu to pick something.
I hate this feeling, I have always been in charge of myself and everything. Why do I suddenly feel disrupted and unfocused?
"And what about you sir?" The pretty waiter asked politely, reminding me of my blunder.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I would have this" I pointed randomly on the menu and she finally nodded and left.
"Should we discuss business now or after lunch?" I asked, taking charge. That gives me the satisfaction of being in the lead because I needed to get rid of feelings that had settled in the pit of my stomach since he walked in.
He merely smiled and shook his head before he responded.
"I won't do business with you CEO Alvarez".
"Call me Castiel instead" I interrupted him before he could continue.
He paused, his mouth slightly opened mid sentence, his brow lifted ever so lightly at that and my eyes caught the smirk that followed before he went quiet.
The moment I had managed to create vanished again and the silence became intense and awkward while my heart beat rapidly in my chest.
The waiter saved the day again as she brought in our orders alongside another waiter.
After they have finally left, we are both busy with our food. He finally completed the statement.
"I won't do business with you Castiel" he said simply and a gasp escaped my lips.
His eyes staring back at me in the most careless and nonchalant way made me look away immediately.
Nothing about this lunch is going as planned.
What's wrong with me?
