On the screen.
Iron Man continued holding the nuclear bomb, flying toward the enormous mothership at the top.
However, halfway there, Iron Man in the Iron Armor suddenly began to feel dizzy, and then fainted completely.
He started to fall directly.
"What's going on?"
Nick Fury asked Iron Man beside him, somewhat confused, "You clearly weren't attacked. How could you suddenly faint?"
"Oxygen deficiency."
Iron Man immediately realized what had happened.
The Iron Armor he originally designed had never considered space combat, so it didn't have a system to produce "Earth's air."
The air available for Iron Man to breathe in the Iron Armor was supplied by a ventilation system, which continuously absorbed air from the outside, filtered it, and processed it—nothing more.
But on the other side of the portal was not Earth, but the vastness of outer space!
Naturally, the ventilation system wouldn't be effective in this situation.
After all, the atmosphere in space is completely different from Earth's.
"Looks like I'll need to prioritize an automatic oxygen supply system."Iron Man silently made a mental note.
Nick Fury nodded, not saying anything further.
Since Iron Man had already recognized the potential flaw in the Iron Armor, he would surely make improvements in advance—no need to mention it.
The group continued watching the large screen.
Although Iron Man had already fainted and was falling, the direction of the nuclear bomb was still aimed at the enormous mothership.
The nuclear bomb then continued its flight with its propulsion system, crashing violently into the gigantic mothership.
Boom!
A terrifying explosion immediately consumed the mothership.
The screen froze momentarily, then vanished.
The scene fell into silence for a moment.
"What happens next?"Iron Man muttered, feeling somewhat frantic. What happened after the nuclear bomb exploded?
At that time, he had already fallen into a coma, free-falling. Based on this situation, it seemed impossible to escape the nuclear explosion.
He would surely be consumed by the explosion along with the alien fleet.
"Don't worry, something must have happened afterward. Although it's not clear yet, you definitely survived, Stark,"Nick Fury said confidently to Iron Man.
Because Agent Coulson had reported that the final battle he spoke of occurred more than ten years later.
Now, in this footage, both Iron Man and Nick Fury, their appearances unchanged from now, suggested that it likely happened in the recent years.
Additionally, Iron Man's current Iron Armor was far inferior to the nanotech armor from the final battle, indicating that this fight occurred before the final battle.
Since Iron Man participated in the final battle afterward, it was obvious that he hadn't perished in the nuclear explosion.
"Let's focus on the 'Battle of New York' for now."Nick Fury said, his voice low.
As soon as he said that, both Iron Man and Nick Fury felt a sense of gravity. It was understandable; anyone knowing that their city would be invaded by aliens in the future wouldn't remain calm.
Black Widow appeared somewhat confused and also somewhat perplexed.
Seeing the attitudes of Nick Fury and Iron Man, she couldn't help but feel that the footage might not just be a simple recording.
"Director, what's going on with this footage? Why are both you and Tony Stark treating it with such importance?"Black Widow asked, her tone serious.
"Romanoff, this footage is likely a glimpse into the future!"Nick Fury said without hesitation.
"The future?"
Black Widow found it hard to believe.
Could anyone really do something like that?
"Remember when you asked me why I suddenly got interested in a dead American soldier? Now you know the answer."
Nick Fury added, looking at Black Widow.
Black Widow's face showed surprise again, "Director, you learned that Captain America was still alive through answering the questions? And you, Tony Stark, you've definitely gone through answering the questions as well?"
No need for Nick Fury and Iron Man to answer; Black Widow now realized from their reactions that they had certainly gone through the questions before.
It was clear that Nick Fury and Iron Man were no strangers to the process.
Given that, Black Widow quickly started to believe Nick Fury's theory about seeing the future.
After all, Nick Fury's conclusion must have been validated, and he had to be confident in it!
As for Iron Man, the top genius from America, he clearly believed it too.
If a genius scientist like him believed it, Black Widow had no reason not to.
Though the situation sounded absurd, the fact that both a sharp intelligence officer and a high-IQ scientist believed it was telling in itself.
Then, looking at the aircraft flown by Captain America...
Black Widow made a rational judgment and chose to trust Nick Fury, believing that the footage was from the future.
And once she fully bought into that, her face darkened.
"So, in the future, there will really be an alien invasion of New York?"
Upon realizing this, Black Widow felt uneasy.
"Why? What could New York have to attract alien forces? Our Earth shouldn't have offended aliens, right?"
Black Widow said incredulously. Earth didn't even know where aliens were, let alone have offended them.
"Romanoff, war is all about interests, nothing else!"Nick Fury said, his tone much calmer.
When he was younger, Earth had been dragged into a war with alien forces.
Back then, Captain Marvel had driven the aliens away single-handedly, but now, Earth didn't have another Captain Marvel.
They would have to rely on themselves.
"Since the aliens chose to invade New York, it means New York must have something that attracts them!"Nick Fury said firmly.
At that point, Nick Fury's mind suddenly shifted.
An image of a glowing blue cube appeared in his mind: the Cosmic Cube.
That object was never from Earth; it came from another planet.
In fact, when Nick Fury was younger, the Skrulls and the Kree had fought over the Cosmic Cube, even dragging Earth into the conflict.
The only thing Nick Fury could think of that might attract aliens was the Cosmic Cube.
