Chapter 9 - The Secret in the Shadows

Elias, known to the Kayı tribe as Balıkçı, had become a trusted man. He helped people with new tools, told wise stories, and acted like a friend. Most of the tribe liked him. But some of the elders were unsure. They said his eyes watched too closely, and his smile never reached his heart. Ali, especially, did not trust him. At night, Elias left the camp alone and came back looking different, like he had seen things no one else could.

One night, Ali and Turgut followed Elias deep into the forest. He walked to an old ruin that no one dared to visit. There, he knelt before a stone with strange writing. He placed a glowing red device on it. The ground shook a little, and a strange voice whispered through the trees. Turgut looked scared. "That's the same voice from long ago," he said. "The voice of Baykuş."

The next few days were strange. A warrior who died last year was seen walking again. The stars looked different. Children said strange things in voices that weren't theirs. Even time itself seemed to stutter. Elias told the tribe not to worry, but Ali knew it was because of what he had done in the forest.

Ali stood up at a gathering and told everyone the truth. He read from a scroll he had taken from the Archive. It said Elias was really Elias Verin—a man trying to control time. He wanted to use a powerful object called the Stone of the Breath to make himself stronger than time itself. Some people were shocked. Some believed Elias. But before anyone could stop him, Elias disappeared into thin air.

Ali gathered a group of warriors and followed him back to the ruin. When they arrived, the stone was gone. In its place was a dark hole in the ground. One warrior tried to step close, but he froze in place like a statue. They pulled him back, afraid. Elias had opened something dangerous—a hole in time.

Ali looked into the hole and saw flashes of different times. He saw Elias walking through history, changing things, speaking with ancient kings. Then he saw something worse. A pair of glowing eyes. Baykuş. He was not dead. Elias had brought him back, using dark time magic. Baykuş was stronger than before.

But there was hope. One scroll had spoken of a hidden protector called Meçhul Göz—the Unknown Eye. It was made long ago to stop Baykuş. It would only wake up when time was about to break.

Ali turned to his friends. "Elias is trying to break time. We need to find Meçhul Göz before he does."

As they walked back, the sky above twisted like water. Thunder cracked, then stopped suddenly. Time was breaking. That night, Ali found a strange stone with symbols like those in the Archive. When he touched it, a whisper filled his ears:

"The Eye watches. The truth sleeps beneath the fourth dawn."

No one knew what the "fourth dawn" meant. Was it a day? A place? A message? Even Elias seemed afraid of the name Meçhul Göz. And now, the real mystery had begun. What had Elias missed? And could the secret protector still save time before it was too late?
