The fates of Naruto and Kurama had shifted—expected.
But why Sakura and Kakashi?
And where did Sasuke fit into this?
After some thought, Sasame pieced it together:
With Naruto becoming a prodigy, he'd graduate early, altering his future team assignments. Sakura and Kakashi might never cross his path—
Except Sasuke.
Even destiny couldn't sever their thousand-year entanglement.
Were Asura and Indra actually...?
Ahem.
Sasame recalled an old saying:
"If Sasuke were a girl, Sakura and Hinata wouldn't stand a chance."
That night, under the guise of summoning, Sasame delivered his nightly ritual—smuggling ramen to Hinata.
"Guess who?"
He covered her eyes playfully.
"U-um..."
Her stammering reply came with scalding-hot cheeks—steam practically hissed from her skin.
Releasing her, he unveiled tonight's offering:
Ichiraku Ramen.
In the original timeline, Hinata once devoured forty-plus bowls, shattering Choji's worldview.
Tonight's ten bowls seemed safer for her juvenile appetite.
Her eyes sparkled like a squirrel spotting winter reserves.
"Eat up before it cools."
As she slurped noodles, Sasame asked, "Been outside lately?"
Hinata shook her head between bites. "Father... trains me constantly."
A shiver ran through her. Hiashi's disappointed glares haunted her, yet she couldn't change her timid nature.
Worse, his training had intensified—urgently.
Sasame frowned.
Hiashi mirrored Fugaku's parenting—harsh drills that only deepened Hinata's anxiety.
For now, keeping her fed was his only play.
Her bottomless appetite defied biology—no weight gain, just endless caloric intake.
Definitely bloodline-related.
"How about an outing soon?"
"R-really?!"
Her chopsticks clattered against the bowl.
Hiashi's relentless drills were breaking her; even brief freedom sounded heavenly.
Especially with Sasame.
"Would I lie?"
Thirty minutes later, ten empty bowls sat stacked.
Sasame eyed her flat stomach—were her intestines pocket dimensions?
"Full?"
"...Ten more bowls."
Respect.
"Twenty tomorrow," he sighed. "A growing girl needs fuel."
Leaving a slug behind, he reverse-summoned home—
Unaware of the figure lurking outside his door.
Tsunade had come seeking comfort, only to find his room empty.
A quick check with Katsuyu revealed everything.
So he's found a new girl.
The expected relief never came—just a hollow ache.
By dawn, she'd resolved to distance herself.
Mother-son boundaries were healthier... right?
"Rikka invited you to dinner," she announced next morning, voice carefully neutral. "Hinata will attend."
Perfect timing.
Sasame's planned outing had just gotten easier.
"Gladly."
His instant enthusiasm twisted the knife deeper.
New wife, forgotten mother indeed.
"Also," Tsunade forced a pivot, "you and Kabuto will take the Chunin Exams."
A surprise, but a welcome one—higher rank meant better pay and status.
Unlike the grand multi-village tournaments, this would be an internal affair—more flexible, less flashy.
"You'll need a third teammate. Any preferences?"
"Hanabi Inuzuka."
A familiar face from class—and a potential Fate Points source.
Meanwhile, in Mount Myōboku...
Jiraiya wandered the misty peaks, nostalgia weighing heavy.
Of the Sannin, he'd been the least gifted—outmatched by Orochimaru's brilliance and Tsunade's raw power.
Until the toads changed everything.
Sage Mode elevated him beyond either teammate, binding him eternally to the Great Toad Sage's prophecies.
Two candidates had emerged over his travels:
Minato—dead.
And Nagato—the Rinnegan bearer.
A non-Konoha shinobi... problematic.
