Hello readers 4/28/2025
Purpose:
4/27/2025 was the date I released chapter 1. I've started this series out of my passion for writing, just because I hold a passion for writing. Doesn't mean I'm the best writer, doesn't mean I will make the best decisions, doesn't mean I will be happy with the outcome of my work. The same applies to all of you, I hope you guys hold me to a proper standard. Chew me out when I mess up, encourage me, and give some advice. I will probably read every single comment left, unless, miraculously, I go viral. Truthfully, I don't know if I could reply to all of you guys. Although I will try & we are still FAR FAR away from that. As for AC assassins, I can't reveal that yet, although it's probably clear.
Insparations
Mostly One Piece & AC Assassins. I hope the plot & world-building are as good as One Piece. The main premise in my head was a darker version of One Piece, less happy-go-lucky stuff. Not that it won't exist, the tone will just be darker. (My friend called my concept emo one piece & I can't stop laughing thinking about it.)
The History of The Novel:
I've been planning the world for the better part of this past year. Realistically, I've put in around 2-3 weeks of work. Not that much. I never held that much motivation to write my series. Along with my school work, I shifted my focus elsewhere.
Release Schedule:
Since we're in the early parts of the series, one of the few parts I've planned. Should chapters come out daily or every other day? I've only extensively planned the first major arc, which should start around chapter 5- 8ish. I have some ideas on the first 10 arcs, though. Beyond that, I'm not sure about release dates. I will update this document on the predicted release schedule when we get to that point.
Complications in process:
Being a student, I have exams coming up soon. On the bright side, after exams, it's free rein, as nothing much is happening after the exams, plus there's summer break to write. Next year is going to be extremely rough, though.
What to Expect:
I believe a majority of the good parts of the series are the world-building & messages. I find my way to sneak some ideology here and there. If you are interested in a good story, this might be the series for you. It's a little early to know whether the series is good or not.
Problems I'm Expecting:
I've never written an action sequence, or a fight, or anything relating to that. I'm pretty lost, I can take inspiration from the wording from other series, I suppose. Action should be pretty mid though unless I'm magically a master of action & I don't know about it. Jokes aside, it shouldn't be the bbestbest
Less important complications:
I play a lot of games, I mean a lot. A majority being live service games, where updates release every 40 days or so. There are also complete games that take up a lot of time. Such as my current game at the time of writing this, Metaphor Fantazio,I play like 7 different gacha games, my favorite being Limbus Company. My schedule could be late, due to the update of one of these games.
(Studying is prioritized over games, games over novels. I'm based)
Will I Sign a Contract With Webnovel?
Not, at least maybe not at the moment. I still have my studies to prioritize above everything. We'll see how things go in the coming years, if I even last that long.
My Message to You:
Thank you for giving me a chance. I hope you enjoy the series as much as I will. If we ever meet a crossroads, where I don't enjoy the series I'm writing anymore. I'm not sure what I'd do. I could very well go on hiatus for months, maybe even years. I'm not expecting a masterpiece, I hope you guys aren't as well; I hope I don't squander the potential of a masterpiece. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for driving me to write. Even if this was a passion project, any interaction grows my drive to write. I hope you enjoy your time here, whether I do or not.
SPOILERS
Explanation of The Title:
It's just the ripple effect, instead of a ripple. To show more drastic changes from actions, it's a wake. Also based on the idiom. "In its wake." I will emphasize it in some chapter eventually.
Fan Service:
Oo, oh, the scary word. I don't want any fan service in my series. I don't see a point in my series to have it, it's for enjoyment, no, "pleasure." Not that I see anything wrong with those types of series, people are free to read whatever they want. It's just not something I would do, probably. Although romance is on the table, I'm still deciding at the moment.
Thank you for your current & continued support,
Sincerely- FanOfSandwiches
