Chapter 21: The Original Body in a Coma
Trần Anh Hùng turned to look at her, then glanced at Tống Thanh Phong.
"Has he lost his memory?" he asked.
Tống Thanh Phong patted Trần Anh Hùng on the shoulder and laughed.
"Probably had his soul taken over. Lost all memories, and even has a different personality now."
Hoàng Hải Vân shuddered slightly. She couldn't tell whether Tống Thanh Phong was joking or serious. The idea of soul possession, transmigration, and the hand of death seemed too absurd to be real. Yet, Tống Thanh Phong spoke as if it was the most natural thing in the world.
Trần Anh Hùng frowned slightly and reprimanded him, "Stop joking."
But Tống Thanh Phong remained playful.
"Come on, a little joke makes things more fun. I've been stuck with emotionless robots for too long. It gets dull."
Then, he turned to explain to her:
"We are all passionate about creating robots, primarily to help humans achieve immortality. A beauty like this is something I want to preserve. However, despite being clinically dead, this body hasn't decomposed—it's as if she's just in a deep coma. Her spiritual consciousness might still be alive."
Hoàng Hải Vân's heart skipped a beat.
Her consciousness was alive—standing right here in front of them.
If these two were as skilled as they claimed, could they return her soul to her original body?
She didn't want to stay trapped in this complicated boy's body anymore. She wanted her own body back.
She immediately asked, "If her soul is still alive, is there a way to revive her?"
Tống Thanh Phong bit his lip in thought before answering seriously:
"What are the two greatest limitations of humanity? Time and death. What is mankind's greatest desire? Immortality.
Modern science has developed two distinct approaches to achieving this:
Transforming humans into robots, which is our expertise. This allows the body to live forever but without a soul.Soul transfer into another body. This method preserves the soul, but the body is lost.
The first method doesn't seem to work for her. If we want to bring her back, we only have one option—forcing a soul to enter her body."
Hoàng Hải Vân felt dizzy.
How could such a thing be possible? How could a soul be extracted and returned to a body?
"That's impossible," she muttered. "How can anyone do that?"
Tống Thanh Phong walked closer to the body, gently tucking away a stray strand of hair from the girl's face.
"Once upon a time, humans couldn't fly. But now, flying from one continent to another is effortless. So tell me—is there anything mankind truly can't achieve?
All we need is the will to do it."
