Chapter 18 - CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

Jenny looked at her sister resting in the living room; Thalia had just returned from their camping trip.

She is thankful that her sister returned home safely and came back to them without any harm. Sometimes, in her premonition, the opposite happens, or it takes a long time for it to happen to someone.

It's okay if what I see in the premonition is wrong; what's important is that it's safe, including Ruth. Jenny thought to herself then.

"Sis, I'll go ahead and sleep first; I'm tired." Thalia said this with a faint smile.

"Okay, you should rest for now." That's all she could say back then.

Thalia nodded and immediately went straight to their room.

Greg pulled the sleeve off her shirt and looked to see who had tugged at it. She looked at Greg, who was constantly glancing at Thalia's back.

"Why?" she asked the child.

"Sis," his voice sounded scared. "Why are there so many people following Sis Thalia?" Greg could only ask her.

"Who is following your sister Thalia?" She then asked the child, who had become alert because of what she heard.

"Women, their appearance is frightening, their pasts are terrifying, and they won't stop until justice is served." Greg only said to Jenny.

She swallowed it back then. She didn't say anything more. She just calmed her younger brother.

"They will bother Sister Thalia; Sister Thalia knows something."

She was getting confused; she knew something happened to Thalia at the camp, she just didn't want to talk about it with them. Jenny knows Thalia; when she is quiet, she absolutely hates it when her sister is like that.

What happened? Jenny thought to herself.

She was having another premonition; she saw her sibling in a large white house, seemingly watching someone; she saw a schoolmate dying; she didn't know the woman in her premonition.

She gasped again now. Her premonitions came one after another. She also saw her older brother helping someone.

Jenny was even more startled; she saw herself in her premonition, as if she was looking for something. It wasn't her home; that place was familiar to her, but she couldn't remember where she had seen it.

Numerous individuals will bear the consequences. Jenny thought to herself.

She knew in her heart that the death of the two siblings would bring back karma.

Karma? The events that befell our family, including the death of our cousin, were justifiable. Jenny thought to herself, clenching her fist.

She had already talked to her brother; she learned that Felix had suspicions about the sudden death of their parents. Jenny also knew within herself that it wasn't an accident. She just couldn't believe it was within her abilities.

Her ability is limited to foreseeing future events. She would rather not ask her youngest because he is afraid of what it sees. That's why she just stays with her while he sleeps or lies beside her so he can sleep soundly every night.

She recalled her premonition that a schoolmate of Thalia would die; she saw her being shot before she could even enter her house. She saw that the gunman was wearing a hood, his face hidden, and the gunman was just smiling as the girl slowly died.

Jenny didn't know the woman in her premonition, but she was the harbinger of everything that would happen; it seemed she was a fuse to the events.

She noticed that Greg was already asleep. She would rather not wake him up anymore because she knew he wouldn't be able to sleep again. They were still in the living room with Greg; they were playing a game then.

Jenny saw a shadow, which made her frown, because there were only the three of them in Thalia's house.

A wave of anxiety gripped her chest. When she looked, there was no one there.

Are my emotions deceiving me once more? She thought to herself.

After a while, someone suddenly passed by in front of her.

She turned around then. She was already wondering about her surroundings.

She turned to look at Greg, who was sleeping. She saw a woman floating in the air, staring intently at Greg.

Gradually, it turned to her, and she gasped at what she saw; it seemed she couldn't breathe properly, blood was dripping from it, and it was just floating, wearing a dress that looked like it had many wrinkles and creases.

Suddenly, it approached her. It seems like whispering.

Don't let the victims multiply any further. That's enough. Help her. Jenny felt as if that voice blended with the wind, sending shivers down her spine.

No voice comes out of her mouth.

If everything continues, many more people will suffer and grieve. It seemed that the woman's voice was filled with sadness.

She was just listening, but she wanted to scream, yet she calmed her mind.

Use the ability that you siblings possess.

It disappeared suddenly, and her whole body trembled with fear. She just held onto a chair to keep her balance.

Jenny just calmed herself down and processed what the soul said.

Your ability? She wondered in her mind back then.

She knew that his brother Greg had abilities, but she didn't know who she was referring to.

Does my older brother Felix have any abilities? How about Thalia? Her questions came one after another.

Her fear abruptly disappeared, and questions began to flow through her mind.

She was also starting to feel sleepy; she needed to sleep because she had a lot to do tomorrow.

She doesn't need to rush the questions occupying her mind; she will receive answers in due time. She might go crazier if she gives in to the thoughts in her mind.

Before she went inside, she immediately carried her younger sibling, who was soundly sleeping in the living room.

Maybe— what else could happen? At that moment, a thought crossed her mind. Upon entering, she saw Thalia soundly asleep on her bed. It was obvious that she was tired; she wouldn't ask her sister if anything happened to her while she was conducting her camp.

Jenny covered Thalia with a blanket and immediately placed Greg beside her, and she too would sleep soundly, just like she used to see her brother do back then.
