"No way…! Damn it! The police are after me!"
Kael dashed through the streets, his heart racing.
Suddenly, he came to a stop.
"I have to use my speed." His voice was firm. "I don't care if they see me… They're already chasing me anyway."
Without hesitation, he activated his ability.
His body shot forward like a bolt of lightning.
He leaped over a house and ran so fast that the patrol cars disappeared from sight in seconds.
"Agh… I overdid it." He was out of breath, exhausted. "I think I lost them… I'm far enough now."
He paced on the rooftop, restless. His mind was a storm.
"What now? Shit… They recorded me. They saw me kill those two. I'm screwed…"
He clutched his head.
"I need to talk to Sara. I need her… I need to let this out."
He didn't waste another second.
Activating his speed again, Kael sprinted with everything he had—heading straight : High Sky.

Meanwhile…
At the mansion, Ismael stood outside, staring at the ruined entrance. Two of his men lay lifeless on the ground.
"Who did this? Have you checked the cameras?" His voice was laced with rage.
"Yes, boss. A teammate sent me the footage. I've already forwarded it to your phone."
Ismael watched the video.
His face darkened.
"What the hell…? He killed my men with a sword? That bastard looks familiar…"
He paused.
Thinking.
Then, his eyes widened.
"No way… I killed him! How the hell did he survive three stab wounds to the gut? Fuck!"
He roared and smashed his phone to the floor.
Shards flew everywhere.
"You bastard! You survived… I'll kill you for this! I'll tear you apart!"
Another guard stepped forward, offering his own phone.
"Boss. There's another recording. Use mine."
Ismael watched it.
Silence.
Kael had destroyed the entrance with nothing but his sword.
He returned the phone, stunned.
How the hell did he do that with a sword? That's impossible…
"I don't know what kind of trick you pulled, bastard… but this time, you're dead for sure."
He grabbed the phone again and dialed.
"Governor. I'll be in your office tomorrow morning. I've got something very strange to show you."

Kael ran through the night.
The wind slapped against his face.
Empty streets passed him by as he neared High Sky.
At the entrance, he slowed down.
Put on a cap.
Dark sunglasses.
Then headed straight to Sara's house.
He rang the doorbell.
Sara's mother opened the door.
"Good evening, young man. How can I—"
She froze.
Recognition in her eyes.
"Oh no… it's you…"
She tried to close the door.
Kael held it with one hand.
"Please… just call Sara. I need to talk to her."
"No! You're a criminal! A killer! You can't come here looking for my daughter! Get out or I'll call the police!"
Kael shouted:
"Saraa!"
Sara came running.
"What's going on, Mom?"
Her eyes widened when she saw him.
"Kael…"
"I need to talk to you," he said, serious.
"Mom, let Kael in. I'll talk to him. Please wait for me in the bedroom."
Her mother hesitated.
But finally stepped aside and closed the door.
Kael moved to hug her— But Sara stopped him with a hand.
"No, Kael. Let's talk first. Come in."
They sat on the couch.
Sara's eyes were filled with sadness.
"Kael… why did you do it? Why kill more people? Why keep dragging yourself into this?"
He lowered his gaze.
"I'm sorry… I just wanted revenge on the guy who nearly killed me. But now everything's worse."
Tears rolled down his cheeks.
"I know it's wrong to kill… I know… but it was the only way to reach Ismael. He's the reason I'm like this. I feel lost, Sara. I don't know what to do anymore…"
"No, Kael. Revenge isn't the answer. Look at you. The police are after you. That man too. I don't want to lose you. You're my best friend, and I care about you so much… but please… stop."
He gave a sad smile.
"I'm sorry for not listening. I'll try to give up on revenge… for you. But tell me… what do I do now? Everyone's hunting me."
Sara hugged him tightly.
"Just stay here and rest for now. You can sleep on the couch."
"Thank you, Sara. Really… I haven't been able to sleep at all. But when I'm with you… I feel a little better."
"Sleep, Kael. We'll talk properly tomorrow, okay?"
Sara stood and walked to her room, leaving him alone in the silence.

Back at the mansion…
Ismael sat on a luxurious sofa, drink in hand.
His eyes stared into the void.
A malicious smile on his face.
"Get the trucks ready. Tomorrow, we're paying the Governor a visit…"
"We're going to borrow one of his toys to take down that idiot Kael."
