Drift sliced through the water, closing the gap fast. Wind whipped at their coats. The enemy ships scrambled to react—too slow.
"Let's go," Kira said, voice low and full of heat.
With a single step and a pulse of energy through his legs, Kira launched himself off the deck like a missile, axe spinning in his hands.
He landed dead center on the largest ship with an earthshaking boom, cracking the wood beneath his boots.
Pirates stumbled back, terror freezing them in place.
Kira swung the Leviathan Axe once—
whooom—
and a wall of ice burst forward, flash-freezing half the pirates where they stood.
They barely had time to scream.
Without missing a beat, Kira yanked the axe back to his hand, spun it effortlessly, and smashed the nearest mast in half like it was paper.
Meanwhile—
On another ship, Aria moved like a ghost.
She leapt gracefully onto the deck, twin swords flashing.
Every swing was clean, efficient, deadly—
cutting through weapons, armor, even parts of the ship itself.
A group of pirates tried to rush her all at once.
Big mistake.
Aria spun, blades whirling in a beautiful, brutal dance. In seconds, the deck was littered with groaning bodies, swords and guns clattering uselessly to the floor.
She didn't even break a sweat.
Elsewhere—
Sora grinned as he flipped through the air, lightning trailing from his fingertips.
He landed with a crackle of energy, both feet slamming into the deck of his chosen ship.
The pirates barely turned before Sora unleashed a wave of electricity, surging across the wooden planks and frying their weapons right out of their hands.
"Come on, at least pretend to be a challenge!" Sora laughed, vaulting over a broken barrel and shocking two more men into unconsciousness with casual jabs.
In less than two minutes, the fight was over.
On Kira's ship, only the captain—a burly man with a thick scar across his face—was left standing, shaking and pale as a sheet.
The Ravens crew regrouped easily,
"Well. That was almost disappointing."
Morter the Claw—infamous pirate with a 23 million berry bounty—was sprinting across the ruined deck, desperation written all over his face.
He didn't get far.
KRA-KOOM!
Kira hurled the Leviathan Axe with a grunt, the weapon slamming into the planks right in front of Morter, burying itself deep enough to crack the boards.
Morter stumbled to a halt, almost falling backward.
Sweat beaded on his forehead as he slowly turned around to see Kira striding toward him, calm as death itself.
"W… who are you?" Morter stammered, eyes wide.
Kira's voice was cold, quiet, and somehow heavier than a cannon blast.
"I'm Raven D. Kira, Captain of the Ravens Pirates."
Sora, stepping up beside him with a wide grin, threw up a hand.
"And I'm Sora!"
"He didn't ask," Aria said flatly.
"Rude," Sora scoffed, crossing his arms in fake offense.
The axe lifted itself and flew straight into Kira's hand, as if answering his call.
"Alright, let's wrap this up. Drift will handle the cleanup."
The crew hopped back onto Drift with smooth, practiced ease.
As the defeated pirates scrambled and screamed, Drift's smooth, low voice echoed over the water:
"Firing sequence initiated. Goodbye."
THUUUUUMMMM—!!!
The Vortex Lance cannon roared to life, sending concentrated energy blasts into the shattered enemy fleet.
In seconds, the pirate ships were nothing but burning wrecks, sinking fast into the sea.
On deck, Sora stared with wide, sparkling eyes.
"Amazing," he whispered in awe.
Aria watched with her usual calm, arms crossed, her swords glinting at her side.
Kira just smiled, satisfied.
Then—
"Kira," Elara called out from the helm, frowning slightly. "Marine ship dead ahead. They're watching."
Kira didn't even flinch.
"Let them," he said coolly. "After we trashed their base, they were bound to send someone. Either way, someone needs to survive to tell the story."
He turned back toward the horizon, feeling the pulse of destiny pulling them forward.
"Set course," he ordered, voice firm.
"Now—to Loguetown."
The crew cheered, Drift powering forward, cutting a gleaming path through the open sea.
Their legend was just beginning.
——
Kira lay flat on his back, staring up at the ceiling of his quarters, a quiet hum in the background as Drift sailed smoothly through the night. The only light in the room was the soft glow of the system interface hovering in front of him, and for the first time in a while, Kira felt like checking his progress.
The system blinked with the usual notification.

"Still don't understand what these credits are for. Hopefully, the system gives me a clue soon."
[Loot Box Opened…]
[Reward: Midas Touch – Epic grade]
He froze. "what's this?"
[Midas Touch]
Rarity: Epic
Item Type: Ability
Description: Any weapon you touch will be coated in haki.
Duration: 15 min
Cooldown: 1 day
Level: 1
"That's incredibly useful, especially since I don't have haki yet. And if we run into Smoker, this will be a game changer."
Kira grinned, excitement bubbling up at the thought of using this ability in battle.
He tapped through his inventory, taking note of the other perks he'd accumulated.
"Because of loot boxes, I've got so many abilities and perks, it's hard to keep track. Most of them are useless—like that one that gives me +1 Intelligence for ten minutes. I should just focus on the ones that are actually worth something."
Kira looked at the system, tapping his chin.
"Alright, For now I've got One for All and Midas Touch… but OFA still on cooldown."
He checked the display.
[One For All]

as he scrolled further through his inventory, he froze. "Wait, what's this?"
[Bloodhound's Step]

"When did I get this?" Kira muttered, raising an eyebrow. He didn't remember picking up this one. "Maybe I should actually start reading through these… I don't wanna miss anything useful."
He leaned back, his mind racing through the possibilities.
"Hmm… I could make some crazy combos with these," Kira mused, his fingers tapping on his thigh as he thought about the potential strategies. "Alright, I'll need to remember these."
With that, he closed his system window and drifted off to sleep.
——
Kira woke up to the sound of the ship creaking gently as it sailed through the waves. Stretching and rubbing his eyes, he made his way out of his quarters, heading toward the kitchen where the familiar scent of food filled the air.
As soon as he entered, he found Sora standing at the stove, focused on cooking with an almost artistic precision. The smells of sizzling food filled the galley, and there was a warmth to it that made Kira smile.
Aria was already sitting at the counter, a bowl of something halfway to her mouth, clearly enjoying her breakfast. She caught sight of Kira and grinned. "Morning, Captain."
"Morning," Kira replied with a grin of his own, taking a seat beside her. "What's cooking?"
Sora turned his head, flashing a confident grin. "Oh, just the usual. I've got pancakes, bacon, eggs, and a special surprise today."
"I'm gonna guess 'something extra burnt,'" Aria teased, eyeing Sora skeptically.
Sora narrowed his eyes but didn't miss a beat. "You'll see. No complaints today, I promise."
Kira sat back and relaxed, watching Sora work. The crew had grown used to Sora's cooking antics, but honestly, there was always something enjoyable about watching him try to outdo himself.
Before Kira could say anything else, Elara walked in, yawning and stretching. "Morning, everyone," she muttered as she plopped herself down at the counter next to Aria, already eyeing the food with suspicion.
Sora grinned. "Hey, Elara. You hungry?"
"Guess so. What's on the menu?" Elara replied, eyeing the food with wariness.
"Pancakes, eggs, bacon," Sora listed off. "Maybe you'll actually like this one."
Elara raised an eyebrow but said nothing, her usual cautious expression in place. She took a bite of the pancakes, then another. Her eyes widened slightly. "Huh. This is actually good."
Kira chuckled. "You know, Sora, you should really take that as a compliment."
"Yeah, I know," Sora said, flipping another pancake with flair. "I'm the best cook on this side of the sea. You'll all thank me later."
"Keep talking, Sora," Kira said with a grin. "You'll get cocky and then something will go wrong, and we'll never hear the end of it."
Sora rolled his eyes but didn't miss a beat, continuing his cooking. "Whatever you say, Captain."
Just as Kira took a bite of his food, the familiar voice of Drift echoed through the room, causing all of them to jump.
"What about me?" Drift asked, his voice echoing as if from nowhere.
Elara flinched and looked around. "I swear, I'll never get used to that."
"But Drift… you don't eat, do you?" Sora asked, tilting his head.
"I don't," Drift responded, "but you could have asked."
"Maybe next time," Sora said with a grin.
"So, Drift… I was wondering—do you need fuel or anything like that?" Kira asked.
"I'm powered by an Arc Reactor," Drift responded evenly.
Aria tilted her head. "Arc Reactor? What's that supposed to be?"
"It's a highly advanced, self-sustaining energy source. Think of it as a miniature fusion core—clean, powerful, and efficient. With it, I can operate without the need for refueling."
Elara's eyes widened slightly. "That's insane."
"Wait, so like… you never get tired?" Sora asked, leaning forward with a spark of excitement.
"Not in the way humans do," Drift said.
——
Kira stood up and turned to the rest of the crew. "Alright, we've got a plan for today. We're heading toward Loguetown. We need to restock on supplies and maybe pick up a few things for the ship."
"Finally!" Sora exclaimed, his excitement palpable. "I've been dying to hit up a proper town again."
"Let's just hope we don't run into too much trouble," Aria added, looking out the window thoughtfully. "We've had enough of that recently."
"Well, that's kind of the point of being pirates, isn't it?" Kira said with a grin
"By the way, Kira, there's a storm coming. We shouldn't stay too long in Loguetown," Elara said, her tone cautious.
"Don't worry," Kira replied, brushing it off with a confident grin.
"Captain, I can see Loguetown!" Drift's voice echoed from the ship's"
As the ship sailed closer to the dock, the crew started preparing to land. Drift took them in with precise maneuvers, gliding smoothly toward the harbor.
This is Loguetown—the town of the beginning and the end.
