The sky had darkened into a swirling gray mass, thick with howling winds.
The seas grew violent, waves thrashing against Drift's reinforced hull.
"That must be it," Elara said, pointing forward.
Before them, a massive mountain towered out of the ocean, cutting the horizon in half — its peak disappearing into the clouds. Incredibly, a massive river spiraled up the side of the mountain, defying all logic. This was Reverse Mountain, the infamous gateway to the Grand Line.
Sora's jaw dropped.
"How is that even possible?!"
"Grand Line physics," Elara said dryly. "Get used to it."
Aria stood at the rail, arms crossed, looking completely unfazed. "Bigger the challenge, better the reward."
Drift rumbled, "Massive current detected. Powering up stabilizers."
Kira grinned wildly, feeling the adrenaline.
"This is it, crew. No turning back now."
The ship rocked violently as they were sucked into the current.
"Hold on to something!!" Kira shouted.
Drift roared forward, engines boosting, as the ship launched itself up the raging water stream.
Waves the size of buildings crashed around them, but Drift fought against them, carving a path straight up.
"This is insane!" Sora yelled over the roar of water, laughing despite himself.
"Stay centered! The current is pulling from every side!"
Kira planted himself at the front like a battle flag, his axe strapped to his back, wind blasting against him.
As they climbed higher, a massive sea king — a serpent-like beast — exploded from the water beside them, its gaping jaws heading straight for the ship.
"Elara, Sora, Aria — get ready!" Kira barked.
"I got this!" Sora shouted, electricity crackling between his fingers.
Aria already had her swords drawn, her expression sharp as ice.
Kira raised his hand.
"Wait—"
Drift, blasted the sea king in the face with a pulse cannon.
BOOM.
The beast roared and fell back into the water, splashing them all with a rain of salty spray.
"That works too," Kira said, smirking.
The crew burst into laughter as they broke through the top of the mountain — the current leveling out before dropping sharply downward.
"Brace yourselves!" Elara shouted.
The ship plunged like a roller coaster, plummeting down the other side toward the Grand Line.
Wind screamed past them, the world a blur of ocean and sky—
And then—
BOOM.

• 55,000 EXP

[Status Update – Level 37 → 42]
They broke through the clouds, landing with a massive splash into calmer, warmer seas.
The storm was behind them.
The air was electric.
And stretching out ahead, endless and wild, was the Grand Line.
Kira stood at the bow, dripping wet but grinning like a madman.
"Welcome to the Grand Line, Ravens!"
The crew cheered — their adventure had truly begun.
"We made it!" Sora shouted, practically bouncing with excitement.
"Yeah, but… now what?" Aria asked, glancing around at the endless sea stretching out before them.
Kira turned to Elara.
"Elara."
Elara gave a small nod, reaching into her coat and pulling out a strange device — a simple compass-looking tool with a glass dome and a single, twitching needle.
"This," she said, holding it up, "is a Log Pose."
Sora leaned in, blinking.
"Looks like a weird compass."
"It is a weird compass," Elara said. "A regular one doesn't work here — the Grand Line's magnetic fields are a mess. Only a Log Pose can tell you where to go."
"How does it work?" asked Aria, crossing her arms.
Elara pointed to the floating needle, which was already spinning before finally locking in one direction.
"The Log Pose records the magnetic field of the island we're on, then points to the next one. It takes time to 'lock on' depending on the island, so patience is part of survival."
"Sounds complicated," Sora said, scratching his head.
"Grand Line life," Elara replied dryly.
Kira stepped up, following the direction the Log Pose pointed.
"Looks like we already locked onto our next destination."
The crew all turned, staring toward the distant horizon, where a dark shape barely peaked through the mist.
A new island.
A new adventure.
Kira smirked, dripping seawater, the thrill burning bright in his chest.
"Alright, Ravens — full speed ahead!"
Drift roared in response, shifting into high speed as they sailed toward the unknown.
The real adventure had just begun.
——
Kira lay flat on his back in his room, the soft sway of Drift rocking him gently. The glow of the moon outside his window flickered against the walls, casting long shadows across the room. His mind was racing with thoughts of the crew, the journey ahead, and now, the new quest that had just popped up.
[Main Quest Updated – "Expand Your Crew"]
Objective: Recruit at least two more members
Reward: 25,000 EXP, Epic Loot Box
Kira let out a small laugh.
"Another main quest. Shouldn't be too hard, I was planning on that anyway," he muttered to himself. The idea of expanding his crew was always on his mind, but now it felt even more pressing with the Grand Line ahead.
"Now for the legendary box."
With a sense of anticipation, Kira opened the loot box, watching as the contents materialized.
[Loot Box Opened…]
[Reward: Desert Eagle – Legendary Grade]
Kira blinked in confusion.
"What?" he said, a little taken aback. A weapon from a legendary loot box wasn't exactly what he had expected.
A heavy pistol appeared in his hand. It was sleek, powerful, and exuded an intimidating presence. He examined it closely, feeling its weight and balance.
[Desert Eagle]
Rarity: Legendary
Item Type: Weapon
Description: A powerful semi-automatic pistol that can penetrate any object and affect Devil Fruit users.
Ammo: 10 rounds
Kira's grin slowly spread across his face.
"Okay, that's strong." He could already see the potential uses for such a weapon—especially with the unpredictability of the Grand Line. Devil Fruit users, strong adversaries, and dangerous situations were sure to arise, and this would make a great addition to his arsenal.
"I'm sure it will be useful," Kira said to himself, setting the gun aside and lying back again. He had other things to worry about, but for now, this was just another tool at his disposal.
"Now I should get some rest," Kira muttered, closing his eyes. The soft sounds of the ship's movements and the distant roar of the ocean outside helped lull him into a deep sleep. Tomorrow would be another day of adventure, and he needed to be ready.
——
Above Drift, in the observation room, Sora pressed his face against the glass, eyes wide.
"Land ahead!" he shouted, electricity crackling around him in excitement.
Elara, seated at the navigation station, glanced at her maps and charts, frowning.
"No name on any of the maps. It's not recorded."
Aria leaned casually against the wall, her sharp eyes narrowing.
"There's a ship too," she said, pointing toward the coastline.
Kira pulled out a pair of binoculars, adjusting them with precision.
"But it's wrecked. Barely holding together. No one's sailing in that."
"Maybe they're stranded… or maybe it's just an old wreck," Elara suggested calmly, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear.
Drift's mechanical voice rumbled through the ship.
"I'm detecting numerous life forms. Large animals… multiple signatures."
An unknown island, wrecked ship, and big creatures?
Sora's face lit up. He was practically vibrating with energy now.
"An unknown island with giant animals? I'm in!" he grinned, sparks flying from his fingers.
Kira smirked and gave the order.
"Alright, prepare to land."
As soon as they touched down on the island, the ground trembled beneath their feet.
A massive gorilla, nearly twice the size of a normal one, crashed through the treeline, roaring with primal fury.
Sora's jaw dropped.
"Ohhh, so big!"
Aria cracked her knuckles, sword still sheathed.
"Interesting."
Kira simply grinned, setting the blade of his axe against the ground with a heavy thunk.
"I've been itching for a brawl."
Without hesitation, Kira charged. He and the gorilla collided like two titans, fists flying. Each blow shook the trees around them. Kira laughed as he traded punches, clearly enjoying the raw physicality of it.
Meanwhile, the rest of the crew was soon surrounded. Lions, tigers, massive wild boars, and monstrous wolves emerged from the jungle, circling them.
"Well, looks like the welcoming party's here," Sora joked, already charging up electricity between his palms.
"Fight carefully," Elara warned. "Don't kill them if you can avoid it."
The crew scattered, dodging and countering the attacking beasts. Elara used precise strikes and distractions, Aria gracefully disarmed and disabled her opponents without lethal force, and Sora used blasts of electricity to stun and knock out the wild creatures.
The ground trembled as the massive gorilla pounded its chest, its roar echoing through the jungle.
Leaves shook, and birds scattered from the trees overhead.
Kira rolled his shoulders, stepping forward calmly.
A grin pulled at his lips.
"Let's see who's stronger," he said under his breath.
The gorilla snarled and lunged, swinging a massive arm like a wrecking ball.
Kira didn't dodge.
CRACK!
He caught the fist in his palm — barehanded — muscles flexing under the strain.
For a moment, the jungle fell silent, the beast struggling against him, their strength locked.
Kira's boots dug into the dirt, cracks forming beneath his heels.
With a sharp twist, Kira wrenched the gorilla's arm to the side, forcing the giant beast to stagger.
It roared in frustration, swinging its other hand.
Kira ducked and drove his fist straight into the gorilla's stomach — a brutal gut punch that sent the beast skidding back several meters, dragging trenches through the earth.
The crew, watching from the edge, stared wide-eyed.
"He's not even trying," Sora whispered.
The gorilla, dazed but not down, rushed again — this time both fists raised for a double-handed slam.
Kira planted his feet, raised his arms — and blocked the massive blow over his forearms.
The shockwave cracked the ground beneath him, but Kira stood firm, grinning.
"Is that all you've got?"
With a roar of his own, Kira drove forward, shoulder-slamming the gorilla so hard it toppled backwards onto its back with a thunderous crash.
Before the beast could recover, Kira grabbed its huge arm, muscles bulging, and — with a heave — hurled the massive gorilla overhead.
It slammed into a tree with such force the trunk exploded into shards.
The gorilla slumped to the ground, groaning weakly.
Kira exhaled through his nose, flexing his hands, unbothered by the fight.
Then a voice cried out, desperate and clear:
"Stop! Please don't hurt them!"
A woman, with long black hair and a stunningly beautiful face, rushed out from the trees. She knelt beside the fallen gorilla, her hands glowing with a soft, blue light. In an instant, the gorilla's wounds began to heal, the bruises and cuts fading before their eyes.
Kira tilted his head, curious but calm.
"Who are you?" he asked.
The woman glanced up at him, fearless.
"I'm Charlotte Mulan," she said.
"Charlotte ?" Kira mused silently
