A lifeless corpse ch22
As July turned around the corner of the building to face the main road what it seemed like. All he saw was a man standing in front of him and past that was Liz with blood coming out of her head. Something that was completely ridiculous to his thoughts. There's no way that's real there's no way I'm really seeing what I'm seeing right? July thought to himself.
This isn't real. Afterall none of this is basically real. This couldn't possibly actually be happening right? Afterall they were just together literally moments ago it felt like. All July saw was the falling corpse of Liz as she fell into shinyas arms. Something that albeit July felt even just a little bit jealous. A thought of where was his love like this why was he always the one the outcast. Though he ignored these thoughts afterall in the dead of the rain at the dead of night. The man in front of shinya only walked closer to shinya and the lifeless corpse that was once known as Liz. July knew. He knew he had to make a choice that his choice was important to the lives in front of him.
Would he choose to shoot this man in front of him or not. The heavy rain didn't make his choice any easier. Every single thought regarding this situation just making him hesitate more and more his body regurgitating at this point to just turn away to just end it all. To just have it all be over it had to be over now. July knew what he needed to do though he still had a friend afterall. He grabbed the sniper rifle that was at the side of his waist. Slowly but surely he raised it up his hands shaking his teeth chattering and body heavy. With every movement it felt like ten tons of pressurized steel put on him. Every fiber tensed up and every bone crackling.
The feeling of death lingered in the air. It felt like it was only going to grow more severe for what July knew he had to do. Slowly he took the sniper off safety and then loaded the shot back. He had to find the strength in him to do this to save his friend as his other friend had already succumbed to the man. As the man only walked forward more and more towards shinya closer and closer each step feeling like a step towards the afterlife. Till eventually he was right in front of shinya with his shotgun jammed right between shinyas eyes. He had to do it he couldn't give up he couldn't give in right now. Moving his hair out his eyes and wiping the rain off his glasses.
He pressed his hands upon the sniper rifle and tensed up his shoulder and his whole body as a result. His body shouting at him to not do this to walk away but his heart knowing the truth at what to do. As he held it up steady staring straight blank into the scope he knew it was time. His palms heavy and his fingers shaking his mind racing. His heart beating and mind shocking. It was over before it even begun. BOOM! The sound of the sniper rifle the bullet came straight out the nozzle. The bullet being put straight in between the man's head he had no idea who it was never even met him a day in his life. Yet he took this man's life away with just a single bullet it was all over.
All july could smell now was the gunpowder residue filling the air. And the smell of the wet dirt from the rain. The rain made his thoughts feel so loud so sickening. Here was another man's dead body falling over. This was it it was officially over. As he watched the man's body fall over and the blood gushing out from the back of his head seemingly like the bullet went straight through his dome. This was what taking life was like. To watch the innocence and life be taken from another human. Sickening. The only word July could think he couldn't take it anymore he threw up and started crying. Only to now notice shinya just a few feet away from him staring at him. This was it the final showdown of the two friends.
