Chapter 83 - Chapter 82: Great Tenma War

Mirai Pov

Where am I ? Ah right...i closed my eyes and drifted my own consciousness into quite the nostalgic memories.

A time where everything was beautiful...my body felt so light and innocent, the fresh air pushing my hair afloat.

While a warm hand gently caressed the top of my head, I laid down on a field of grass.

Behind me was my father who silently took a nap, as I rested comfortably in his embrace while mother sat near us, a priceless smile adorning her elegant face.

She played with my hair while singing a lullaby...

I wanted to get up and hug them, cry and tell them to run away with me...somewhere far away from this land filled with disaster.

But I didn't...maybe because I knew this was just a dream, I didn't want to waste these beautiful memories.

So I simply laid there listening to my mother's angelic voice...a tear eventually escaped my eye, as I felt my consciousness growing heavy.

Catherine : Everything will be alright, sweetheart....

A bunch of words I couldn't gasp properly, I just felt dizzy as instead another shout called me out awake.

I reopened my eye feeling the wind blasting against my face, before me was the Eastern empire...right, before shifting to that memory.

I had arrived in Tempest and asked Velgrynd to tag along on her small journey toward the empire...she had surprisingly agreed easily.

And even offered me to step on her back offering a ride...

Velgrynd : We are reaching our destination, be ready to fight.

Mirai : Yes...you noticed, huh...

Velgrynd : Don't underestimate me, human...I have lived in this place for millennia, a single glance is enough for me to pinpoint how different the atmosphere of the empire is.

The city seemed to be dwelling under a veil of darkness...the atmosphere was dead and the citizens seemed to be lifeless.

The situation would be weird and creepy for anyone but I already know what is going on.

Mirai : Velgrynd-san...i just want to make sure but this is no longer the empire you knew, this is now a battlefield.

Velgrynd : What ?

Mirai : You can't see the whole picture but...Michael is planning to sacrifice the entire population of the empire.

My words seemed to have startled Velgrynd since her draconic body wavered for an instant.

Velgrynd : Sacrifice ?

Mirai : You don't care about human life but this empire was developed through yours and Rudra's effort, even for a true dragon you must feel uncomfortable knowing your citizens are going to be turned into a harvest of souls.

And my guess would be Ivarage, since that damn dragon is Michael's plan to retrieve Veldanava...he wants to unleash that dragon so it rampages.

And force Veldanava to come back, but this won't happen because Ivarage is already out somehow...

But it seems only under restriction, so I need to stop Michael first then reinforce the star seal...

Velgrynd : Unforgivable...I swear I'll burn that manas down !

Mirai : You all fire up, that's nice to hear but don't do anything rash.

Velgrynd : ...

Suddenly, all motion ceases as Velgrynd halted her progression floating high above the cloud.

I looked down confused...

Mirai : Did something happen ?

Velgrynd : No...just I wanted to ask you something...

Mirai : What ?

Velgrynd : About your name...Averion.

I didn't expect her to even know this name...well it was quite famous back in the day but as far as i know...none of the true dragon were active.

Heck it all happened at an era where Guy Crimson didn't ascend as a demon lord yet.

Mirai : My name, mmh...

Velgrynd : It might appear strange but I am quite knowledgeable about this name...after all, back in the days I looked down at human civilization from the god's mountain.

Mirai : Why are you telling me this ?

Velgrynd : I don't remember anyone with the name Mirai Averion...but you clearly resemble that man, i can tell you are that duke's daughter yet you claim to be Dawn Arceid's offspring...what is your deal, i can't assemble the puzzle no matter how i twist my logic.

What...that's creepy, she had been watching over father like stalking ? Wait, she fell in love with Rudra...who is a hero similar in many regards to my dad.

Mirai : Don't tell me you were interested in the dule...

Velgrynd : What ? No ! Don't say absurd things like that !

Mirai : You should at least make an effort if you want to lie, sorry but my father has only eyes for mother, a third rate synthesised woman like you can never compare.

Velgrynd : Third rate ? Synthesized ?! You brat really want to face the wrath of the sun !

Her body grew agitated as she swung around trying to toss me off her back.

Mirai : Hai hai, it must be hard to have your heart broken.

Velgrynd : I said no ! I just watched him because big brother Veldanava was interested in him !

Mirai : Huh ?

Oh right...in this new reality, dad did go to the imperial academy and befriended the star king dragon.

He is the sole being with the world destroyer that fate cannot affect...well I guess Rimuru too since his own fate is so twisted that no matter how you alter it, he will eventually reach the same conclusion.

That's probably due to the Manas of Wisedom's influence...

Mirai : Okay okay, calm down i understand...so what are you trying to say with this ?

Velgrynd : Tch, i'll teach you a lesson later...

Her body glowed before shrinking, taking a human form...I myself used my skill so I could stand in the air.

Velgrynd : What i'm trying to say is that...you know everything that is going on in deeper detail, right...

Mirai : Well that's correct...

Velgrynd : You say you'll help me meet Rudra again so I followed your words but...after I regained my senses, I realized how blind I was.

Her mind was already affected by Lord of Justice, Michael even before his ascension as a Manas...she couldn't have noticed.

As this kind of mind control is applied like a few droplets in an entire puddle...small interaction enough to alter your thoughts but bitterly small to go unnoticed.

Mirai : So ?

Velgrynd : My love for Rudra is real...at least that's what I want to believe but for how long have I loved the Rudra of today ?

She must be disturbed to have followed Michael instead of Rudra while thinking it was him.

It's understandable, she must be questioning however if her love was for Rudra or influenced by Michael...

Velgrynd : The only feeling I'm sure of is that I was interested in Rudra with the same fascination I had for Averion...but after that, I feel like entering a turmoil vortex of emotion...

Mirai : I have no answer for your sentimental problem, all I can say is that you should seek out the answer yourself.

Velgrynd : Haha, you are as cold as my sister...well i expected a less harsh answer...

Mirai : Sorry, I'm not that kind of person...I'm selfish and can't empathize with anyone that is not my family.

Velgrynd : I see...i'm a bit jealous, perhaps instead of pursuing a romantic affective love, i should have stayed close to the light as a familial support.

What is she saying ? I can't understand...but she is giving me the vibe of someone who is emptying her last regrets before dying...

Mirai : You...

Velgrynd : Anyway, let's go ! We lost enough time.

Reshaping herself back into her dragon form, she flew off before I could even react...I narrowed my eyes and watched her back for a moment.

Before resuming to follow her, though this time I had to move on my own...

As they bordered near the empire, the sky suddenly turned grim...a suffocating bloom of power descended and traveled across the world.

A sense of unease creepy all living beings's hearts as they instinctively look up...the sky filled with crack suddenly reacted.

As if someone was bumping fist from the other side...shockwaves roared like thunder as all clouds dissipated.

It continued until the inevitable happened...the sky broke connecting the central world and heaven.

Billions of angels with weak ego started to flood down...the hour of judgment has arrived.

All of Humanity immediately took action doing their best to defend their land...some were more fruitful than others.

Cry of despair and pleas of mercy filled the land of living...by the end of the first hour, nearly 50 % of the existing nation was wiped out.. ;

Many citizens ran away, hoping to reach a stronger nation trying to raise their chance of survival.

In the major nations that stand as the symbol of the war against heaven, Tempest and Ruberios...the war is particularly savage.

Yet due to the nature of their respective leader and ace, the casualties were the lowest registered.

In Tempest, all the inhabitant and incoming flux of outlander survivor were transported toward the Labyrinth guarded by Ramiris and the yet to be appointed guardian.

Since the war started so soon after their last conflict, Rimuru decided to speed up the process of awakening for his cadre.

Using the few souls he had gathered with the war against the Eastern empire, certainly he didn't manage to awaken everyone but those most powerful were now standing stronger on the frontline.

Those who received this blessing are namely Diablo, Benimaru and the rest of the primordial demons.

Though for Benimaru's case, his awakening isn't completed yet because as the heir of the ogre's tribe, he would lose all reproductive function once he awakened.

So he had to find a suitable partner to give him an offspring...thus his awakening didn't fully go through.

Rimuru Pov

Ahh, this is a total mess...from where I stood I could see the beautiful city I had built being towered by a sea of flames...naturally I had set a reinforced barrier around the capital.

So the city itself was fine but the forest around and the sky was filled with battle...

Rimuru : So far we are managing...

Tempest ever growing army had reached a number of a million during our preparation...without counting the force we possess in the Labyrinth.

I purposely left Zegion, Apito and Kumara as our last line of defense...there are also the four dragon kings...

Though I did get Adalman to help the war effort with his undead army...but even with this much, we are far outnumbered.

Velzard : Are you sure you won't join the fight ?

I turned my head toward Velzard-san, she had surprisingly decided to stay in Tempest...the reason being that Ruberios will be completely fine with her...

I don't know who she is referring to but I guess they will be fine...Velzard wants to stay here so she could guard all threats toward Ramiris.

From what I understood, if Ramiris fell then a great catastrophe would follow due to her nature as the spirit queen.

Rimuru : From our intels, the most dangerous foe are the Seraphim...I'm just waiting a bit more to see if one will appear here, if not I'll have another matter to attend to.

Velzard : I see...well I doubt you'll need to worry with four primordial demons on your side.

Mmh, well considering how strong they are now...she is right, though the ridiculous sight before me easily overshadowed them.

Velzard : Also..;what is my dumb little brother doing ?

Rimuru : W-well...hahaha...

I scratched my cheek nervously while stepping aside avoiding the freezing death aura she started releasing.

Veldora...was stationed within the barrier, in his dragon form...he fired several storm blasts toward the sky...

Serving as a literal canon...he read this from a manga a few days ago, and had been planning ever since to make this happen.

Velzard : I swear...I'll beat up some sense into him later...

Rimuru : A-at least his strike got a lot of angels ! Hahaha...

Velzard : You are a true dragon as well now...perhaps you should join Veldora in my net edu-

Rimuru : No, I'm fine ! Please take care of Veldora ! His schedule shall be cleared for an entire year !

My body became rigid as I instinctively let go of Veldora...sorry brother but she is scary, really scary...

Velzard : Fufu, very well you seem better educated, I like that.

Ciel : (I see, so the master likes a more assertive woman...)

Rimuru : (Huh ? Did you say something, Ciel?)

Ciel : (No, it's just your imagination...)

Strange, in fact it has been quite a while now that I can hear some ramble in the back of my back...maybe Ciel is devising another strategy for the war.

Well I trust her so everything is fine, she won't backstab me or something, haha.

Rimuru : Anyway, everything is going well so far...I hope this continues.

I squinted my eyes while analysing the battlefield...Benimaru was commanding the army while covering the land in blazing flames.

Carrera was blasting the sky with nuclear magic, Ultima flew along the wind destroying everything on path.

Testarossa swiped hundreds of them with each swipe of her hand...the only fairly inactive primordial is Diablo.

Who stayed further behind while commanding the black number...still he took his own part in this massacre.

Geld prioritized the defense, forming a large line around the barrier...in fact my own barrier is only the second layer, Geld is the one managing the outside layer.

Gabiru defended the sky, Adalman acted as a support, Shion rampaged and so on...

Rimuru : (Shuna, are you ready?)

Shuna : (Hai Rimuru-sama, we have finished our preparation.)

Even if I'm not directly fighting, I'm not simply watching...I had developed with Shuna several defensive measures.

From within the barrier, with the help of a dozen priestess Shuna raised herself, we shall engulf those angels in the sky with holy magic.

Rimuru : Let's start the initiation phase then.

In my words, a hole opened in the barrier right above the city...from the central plaza, Shuna and her group closed their eyes praying while reciting chants.

Rimuru : 5, 4, 3, 2...1, awaken yourself !

[Tempest's roar], after exchanging a few words with Luminous about Holy magic based on Faith, and with the help of Shizue who stood near the central plaza making sure everything was running well.

We developed 2 spells which are scaled to a wide range destructive power...their nature is as simple as it sounds, to defend Tempest when we can only focus on defense.

My eyes trailed the growing light at the heart of Tempest, in an instant it exploded to reach the sky...a pillar of holy light, the very fruit of my people's faith.

Velzard : Impressive...this light might be the very sole ray of hope for humanity...

I looked up, her words resonated with my heart...the pillar had pierced through the sky to reach the enemy...everything on its way was erased.

Though, my eyes seemed to have caught an unidentified figure running up, using the opening we created to slip into heaven.

Was that my imagination ? Or was it a primordial angel ? I can't tell for sure...

Rimuru : (Ciel, did you just see that?)

Ciel : (Hai, the said individual had its presence perfectly covered but judging from the timing and potential motive, it is most likely the silver fox, Kyuri.)

Rimuru : (What is she trying...wait, oh I see then i guess we just have to count on her to bring back our friend.)

That also means the one holding the key is there...i wonder why she didn't share this intels with us, Kyuri, mmh...

She is quite mysterious as well but Kumara is fond of her so...i have to trust her with this one.

Shuna : (Rimuru-sama, shall we prepare the next spell right away?)

Rimuru : (Yes, let's show them our might...as long as we stand, there will be hope for humanity.)

I proudly looked up, i can't lie to myself...I was a bit anxious but now seeing how combative and lively everyone is.

Now that the war started, I can't wait to see the end of it...let's all meet up at the celebration banquet.

And I will make sure Tempest remains the same as it was before this battle.

Rimuru : (It's about time, I need to go to Milim...everyone here will be able to manage the defense just the time I'll calm my best friend down.)

3rd Pov

On the other side, Ruberios...when the angels descended, panic surged from all directions.

The knights panicked along with the citizens, not knowing how to deal with such existence...even the weakest of these angels were enough to wipe a city if given the time.

Ruberios without their highest authority could only form a barrier and do their best to maintain it.

At the center of all this, Hinata along with Roy and Louis protected the holy land...they served as a receptacle to catalyze the faith of their citizens.

Meanwhile, the saints and those capable of fighting the angels tried to push them back...but the situation was clearly dire.

Hinata : (This is bad...where is Luminous-sama ? We need her if we want to pass on the offensive...)

Her hands stretched, she started sweating when the angels broke through their external defense and began colliding with the barrier.

Along that, the faith she received from the citizens decreased, clearly due to the immediate fear they felt upon seeing the situation.

Hinata : This is bad...

Louis : It's about time, just hold on a little more !

Roy : We can't hold on that long...you two, take over i'll go help outside !

Hinata nodded reluctantly, she was better at control over holy magic so she had to stay here for the time being.

Her eyes trailed upward, even with the formidable help of the genesis knights who fought rougher than ever...they were still pushed back by the sheer number.

Luminous : There is no need for that, all three of you leave.

All motion stopped when the goddess made her entrance, a slight pulse of light emanating from her body...the knights nearby froze upon meeting her with their bewildered eyes.

Hinata : Luminous-sama !

Roy/Louis : My lady !

Luminous : Calm down, the preparations are finally done...i will take care of here so leave and help gather the citizens for now.

Raising her arm, a bolt of light exploded into the sky...it wasn't an attack aimed toward the enemies but rather a signal for her people.

As the light faded, a gigantic divine figure representing the goddess's benevolence appeared...with her warm hand, she embraced the city of Ruberios.

Calming the heart of everyone...this single act resurged all the faith and fighting spirit from the holy land.

Knight : We have our god Luminous ! We can't lose !

Citizen : The goddess has yet to abandon us ! Pray for our lord's victory !

Commander : Everyone ! Raise your blade ! The goddess is watching !

The moral now back at its highest, Luminous then stepped into the magic formation...completely taking over the control of the barrier.

Boosted by the faith of her people, the barrier surrounding the city bursted stronger than ever.

Luminous : There is no need to panic...I'm here.

Hinata : Then I shall leave and reorganize the army right away-

Luminous : Wait, Hinata !

Calling her out before she could go perform her duty, Hinata turned back confused...

Luminous : Call every disponible troup to charge forward.

Roy : What ?! My lady, I mustn't dare doubt your capabilities but even for you...it's too much to maintain such a barrier on your own !

Louis : I agree, my lady-

Before the twin could agree more, Ghuntler appeared behind them...his hand grabbed their shoulder and with a shake of his head.

He forced both vampires to keep it quiet.

Luminous : Maintaining this barrier is child play for me, furthermore we need to push them back our we'll get swarmed sooner or later.

Hinata : Luminous-sama...i-i'm sorry, but i cannot lead such a tactic...my ability is lacking...

Seeing the amount of pouring angels, it was clear to Hinata that she couldn't slay them all...she might be a knight and a hero but she had clear limitations.

This was all simply out of her range of skill.

???: I didn't know you were such a pessimist girl, Hinata-nee.

A voice suddenly called the right hand of god from behind, at last she made her appearance on the battlefield.

Armed with the god graded sword [Moon Mistress] and cladded with the [Divine Armaments]...

Walking out of the church, her figure still covered by the veil of shadow, she adjusted her mask while making her presence known.

An overwhelming power that radiated different shades of justice and hope...this was the mark of a true hero.

Hinata : You...

A legend of the Holy empire, the one who had once sealed the catastrophic class dragon, Veldora...for a long time, there was such debate among the common folk in search of thirsty conversation subjects.

The legendary hero that confronted the storm dragon or the living legend that still graced the holy empire's with his grace.

Dawn and Chronoa, in terms of sheer reputation...both are much closer than one would think of.

And now...after the heavy drop in faith due to Dawn's disappearance, the reappearance of the other true hero of this grand nation will raise back the overall morale.

Chloe : Do you mind if I jump right in, Luminous-san ?

Finally walking out of the shadow, she stood in the middle of the formation...the knights present all tensed up while staring at her.

An unknown figure who reeked power...the sheer amount of holy power that was currently flowing around her body was absolutely terrifying.

Luminous : Go ahead, it's time for the people of Ruberios to see their second moon.

Smirking, Chloe nodded and turned her attention upward...the swarming angels were pushing back the knights onto the barrier.

Though due to Luminous's intervention, the barrier stood strong...

Luminous : Show them, Chloe...

Muttering for her friend's ear only, the surrounding air gasped frozen for an instant...as the very next moment, Chronoa had leaped out of her position.

It took another moment for the people present on the plaza to realize her departure...a burst of wind blasted the location...

Moving up, Chloe had already jumped past the barrier high in the sky...her hand gazed at the hilt of her beloved sword.

The divine blade [Moon Mistress], she carefully strengthened her hold over the handle before unleashing a powerful slash.

A crescent arc assaulting the sky, time itself seemed to have been bent...the strident sound grounded the world as all motion ceased.

For a long second, all noise came to a halt as the attention of the entire holy nation was on the sky...no angel, no human, no mortal dared...

Until everything bursts swallowed under Chloe's might, the singular sword swing clears the sky of any threat...

Chloe : I've been hitching to show off a bit.

Smiling under her mask, it didn't last long before another large wave of angels appeared...this time they all focused their attention on the hero who had just slayed thousands of them in a swipe.

As such, Chloe's first task was completed...with the people of Ruberios bare witness to the power of their hero.

The message of glistening hope resurged in their heart like a roaring flame...

Chloe : My cute little student sure messed up with this timeline, well i trust him enough to lead us to the happy ending.

Standing without flinching at the ever growing angelic army, Chloe rose her blade again to fight this down until the end.

But as she was about to launch another offense, she halted observing a slight change in the upfront angels...they froze and made way for someone to walk down.

A bulky man with long dark hair, his fierce gaze burned down the heroine of Ruberios...

Chloe : Heh, a primordial at last...

Recognizing the man, Chloe identified him as Zalario...a being that held authority and loyalty toward heaven.

A fervent servant of the late Veldanava, someone that could actually give a fight to Chloe.

Zalario : I was tasked to destroy Ruberios, you follower of a fake god shall meet your doom now.

Chloe : Bring it on, big guy.

Another important location for the allied force is Sarion, as the elven nation held the world tree who is an important figure for the world's natural balance.

The fight near the Sorcery dynasty was harsh as well...at least, this was how it was supposed to be.

Instead, a suffocating calmness engulfed the entire forest the elf resides in...

The empress, Elmesia, wore a thoughtful expression while gazing at the clear sky...though no battle was going on...

It didn't mean that the forest was devoid of fight, the reason for the lack of invaders is because the first wave was completely wiped out and somehow the flux of angels was cut down.

As if they were forbidden to approach the world tree any further...

Elmesia : I conclude this is what you're doing ?

But amidst this peaceful scenery contrasting with the rest of the world...a lone figure stood there in the air.

Her radiant appearance grew down as the six wings flipped allowing the angel who was formerly part of the star king's three mystic admirals.

The angel of origin who soars through the heaven in a claps of thunder...the heavenly general Obera.

Obera : Do not misunderstand my action here, I am not helping you but rather doing this to fill my own doubt.

Elmesia was nervous, there was no way Sarion could manage themself against such a monster...since everyone back at the meeting was occupied.

And partly due to her own pride, she didn't request much assistance knowing that her beloved sorcerer dynasty would manage against a bunch of angels.

But she had forsaken the fact that the world tree was within the borden of Thalion...in reality, she isn't even fully aware of the true nature of the giant tree that serves as the pillar of her nation.

Elmesia : So you went massacring your own kin for such a reason ? Hard to believe...

The elven empress expected the Seraphim to be somehow similar to the demon ancestor...being totally devoid of compassion for life.

And this was proven right as Obera didn't bat an eye before unleashing a sea of thunder, her spear transcended the battlefield to exterminate her own kind.

Obera : What could I do ? These angels barely possess an ego, forced to obey the one holding the highest authority ever since lord Veldanava's parting...

Finally landing, Obera side-eyed behind the elven empress noticing a familiar figure.

Obera : My doubt linger in both mind and heart, I cannot allow the destruction of the world tree or this world as long as these thoughts haunt my consciousness.

Elmesia : Isn't that the same as betraying your own side but not joining your enemy ?

Obera : Indeed, I don't expect you youngsters to understand my thought process...though I would tend to think lady Sylvia over there would understand me.

Elmesia tensed up, she didn't notice her mother arriving...and judging from the posture she chose to wait there, it has been a while now.

Sylva : Fufu, don't mind my daughter's inexperience...it has been a while Obera, when was the last time we met directly ? Wasn't it back when Twilight was still alive ?

Obera : Indeed, he had triggered another crazy experiment and I was sent along Gracia to warn him.

Sylva : This sure brings back nostalgia...

Reminiscing the past, the former empress chuckled softly...it seemed she had no intention of raising her guard in the presence of the primordial.

Obera : It sure does, anyway, I had already confirmed that all the rest of my kin were dispatched, Sarion should be safe at least until Fledway notices the stunt I pulled.

Sylva : You are playing a dangerous game there...

Obera : I personally believe that this war makes no sense...they had forgotten to believe in lord Veldanava and were trying to bring him back totally forsaking his own wishes.

Obera missed her master too but she had accepted and walked past grievance...Veldanava is almighty and all powerful.

Even if at the time of his death, he was no stronger than a simple human...his nature as the god creator still exists.

If he wanted to come back, he would have already yet his existence remain far away from reality...it's clear then, he simply does not wish to revive.

His reasons are unknown but who was she to doubt her lord's intention but this sentiment isn't shared among the rest of the Seraphim.

Feldway was ready to destroy the world itself for his master's return...and Obera's own consciousness couldn't allow that when their purpose was originally to watch over Veldanava's creation.

Obera : I made up my mind, time doesn't wait...what shall happen will happen, and if I don't act now i'll regret it, even once lord Veldanava comes back, i wouldn't be able to look at him out of shame.

Turning around, Obera has still much more to do...Sarion's peace won't last long and once the world tree corrupted...

The very foundation of the world would become unstable, Feldway might have thought that by shaking the existence of the Cardinal world, he would manage to force Veldanava back to protect his creation.

This is why Obera couldn't possibly allow the destruction of the world tree...the foundation of the very world.

The world tree, the True dragon and the great spirits residing outside the cardinal world...

Destroying the tree is night impossible but the lack of one would disrupt the balance completely.

Sylvia : There is no need to worry, have you forgotten who I was ? As long as it is not the mystic general, I can fend off any opponent.

Obera : I mustn't dare to doubt your ability, after all, the sole reason no true dragon or hero are guarding this place is due to your presence, but I sincerely hope no tragedy happens to come upon this land.

Finally leaving, Obera now directed her full attention at the most dangerous area...the barren land where Milim and Dagruel were still clashing.

But also the focal point where Feldway is going...no matter what, Obera couldn't allow him to bring any more harm toward Veldanava's family, his plan had crossed the line of reasonableness a long time ago.

Elmesia : So you knew that terrifying angel ?

Sylva : You can say that, to be fair Twilight Valentine was quite the...troublemaker, meeting the Seraphim is only natural considering the nature of their job.

Once Obera had left, Elmesia finally relaxed...she addressed her mother with a tint of sarcasm.

Elmesia : You sure seemed to get along...

Sylvia : Is that so ? We didn't interact much honestly though as fellow comrades who had lived during the past age, we knew each other around.

Elmesia : I see...

Sighing, the empress looked back toward her nation...she had underestimated the scale of this Tenma war...

She expected it to be a few times harsher than the previous one but no...it simply feels like they aren't simply here to target developed nations...

But rather to annihilate all forms of life dwelling in the cardinal world.

Elmesia : What should we do now ?

Sylvia : Spread the soldiers around the forest and keep watch, as for me i'm going to reinforce the barrier.

Elmesia : So you are letting go of all official and legal affairs involving contact with our subject to me again...

Sylvia : My sweet daughter should know that the barrier is really important.

Elmesia : Bu-

Sylvia : Without barrier, the nation is subject to all kind of danger~

Elmesia : Wa-

Sylvia : Being without ego simply rush on the field without the need of rest, that is why a barrier is important to not be swarmed and swallowed.

With a sweet smile, Sylvia walked away...leaving Elmesia hanging.

Elmesia : Seriously...I know you'll just laze around performing a lesser spell !

Ahem, thus the situation in Sarion was much less severe compared to the rest of the world.

Meanwhile, outside the central world...a lone man was walking a stellar path, his every step was heavy and devoid of sense.

He simply marched forward, each passing moment...a part of his sanity being ripped off.

Dawn : How long has it been already ?

His words weightened on his own mind, as he walked toward the next world...awaiting for the gate leading to his own fate to reopen.
