What was that? It felt like his head had entered another world, as if he had pierced through a gate into a new dimension.
Arsene felt like he was looking into a mirror that reflected the library's archive upside down, from top to bottom. Everything was flipped.
An idea suddenly struck him. He looked down but could only see the upper half of his body—his lower half was nowhere to be seen.
It was as if he had been split in two—one half sent to the moon, the other left on Earth.
But then he realized it was all just an illusion. He could still move—this was nothing more than a transparent barrier, displaying the ceiling of the library from below. Or perhaps it was just a trick of the eye.
Is this the true archive of the library? Are they hiding it above? No one would ever think to climb all the way to the top of the shelves.
"It's like two identical worlds, yet completely separated!" Arsene voiced his thoughts aloud.
