Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: Simply Sinful

Le Tong glared at the closed door with clenched teeth, silently waved her fist, and reluctantly dragged Ji Rui's luggage into the master bedroom.

Sorting out Ji Rui's luggage was something Le Tong was familiar with.

After all, she had been Ji Rui's secretary for half a year, and he went on business trips at least five or six times a month, most of the time with her accompanying him.

However, her mood this time was clearly different from every other time before.

Barring any surprises, they would stay in L City for four or five days this time, and Ji Rui's clothes were packed full in a suitcase, with shirts, jackets, underwear, and ties sorted systematically. Clearly, it wasn't packed by him.

Le Tong first took out the suit jackets, disconnected the phone line to call the waiter to come and get them ironed. All of the suits were a uniform black, with two featuring dark gray and dark blue pinstripes, while the others differed only slightly in fabric and style.

In the past, Le Tong didn't pay attention to these details; she would organize his luggage without a second thought, sending what needed washing and hanging what needed hanging. But now, looking at these similar suit jackets, she couldn't help but internally criticize his complete lack of taste.

When she hung up his shirts, looking at the five identical white shirts neatly lined up in the wardrobe, Le Tong was at a loss on how to comment on this man's fashion sense.

Although, she had to admit, given her boss President Ji's good looks and great physique, even if he dressed like a sleazy uncle in a white tank top and shorts with flip-flops, he could still turn heads on the street.

But no matter how good the inherent conditions, he shouldn't ruin them so carelessly.

When Le Tong finally placed the last pair of President Ji's black underwear into the drawer, she had internally criticized his wardrobe from the underwear to the suit jacket piece by piece.

When she criticized President Ji's fashion taste from head to toe and realized, she was startled!

What was she doing? He was just her boss. What did it matter to her what he liked to wear? Even if he fancied wrapping himself in a sack, it had nothing to do with her, right?

Could it be because she had seen Boss Ji unbuttoned and barefoot, looking incredibly sexy the other day? In comparison, she found herself disdainful, feeling Boss Ji was wasting potential, turning such a sexy man into an abstinent stoic?

Le Tong finally found a fitting reason for herself, somewhat deflated, she walked out of the master bedroom, dragging her luggage to the room next door, her hand on the doorknob. After a thought, she let go and went back to the other room. Just as she was about to open the door, she heard the sound of a door opening behind her.

"Brew me a pot of coffee!"

"Okay," Le Tong responded, tossing her luggage by the door, and went to the living room to dial the internal line, asking the server to bring some top-grade Blue Mountain coffee and a coffee pot, also requesting two sandwiches.

Le Tong carried a tray with freshly brewed coffee and a sandwich, standing at the study door, "President, your coffee."

"Come in!"

Le Tong pushed the door open, the large desk in the study was covered in documents. Ji Rui's eyes were locked on the screen, his fingers typing rapidly on the keyboard.

Le Tong placed the tray on the side table, "President, the coffee is at the perfect temperature, and there are some sandwiches to help fill your stomach."

Ji Rui never ate plane food, why that was, Le Tong never dared to ask. The thoughtful little secretary, afraid the coffee might upset his stomach, brought in sandwiches as well.

"Mm," Ji Rui responded, his gaze still on the screen.

Le Tong stood by the desk for a moment, "President, is there anything I can help with?"

As soon as she said that, Le Tong felt like banging her head against a solid wall.

Le Tong, are you a pig? Why are you always volunteering for more work? Why not go watch TV or browse the internet? Why make your life harder by being free labor for this demon?!

"Mm, organize the materials on the desk."

Ji Rui still didn't look at her, his eyes on the screen, shifting in his chair closer to the side table, grabbing his coffee in one hand and a sandwich in the other, taking a sip of coffee and stuffing the sandwich into his mouth, with a shift of his hips he was back at the computer.

Despite it being a crude eating posture, he executed it with an elegance and efficiency. Le Tong, while tidying the table full of documents, couldn't take her eyes off him, his slightly puffed cheeks and chewing while focusing on work softened his usually cold image quite a bit.

Ji Rui tilted his head slightly. Le Tong thought he noticed something and quickly retracted her gaze, only to see the man was just looking at the documents spread next to the computer.

Le Tong breathed a sigh of relief, but couldn't help scolding herself for being useless, internally blaming his handsome features for making even the most outlandish behavior seem appropriate and natural.

Ji Rui seemed quite hungry, the four sets of sandwiches were all gone within five minutes. Le Tong cast a glance at the empty coffee cup and plates, resigned to picking up the tray, going out to refill the coffee and bringing back the sandwich meant for herself, placing it again on the side table.

Ji Rui didn't hold back, within another five minutes, the sandwich was also gone.

And the capable little secretary Le Tong, with a hungry stomach, organized the spread-out documents and handed them to Ji Rui.

"President, I have organized the documents, if there's nothing else, I would like to go out and organize my own luggage."

Le Tong knew Ji Rui well, given his current work state, he would probably work until eight or nine o'clock. She thought it best to go out and organize her luggage first, then later call to prepare dinner.

"Bring your computer over, there are some documents that need rearranging."

Ji Rui was a recognized workaholic, and few secretaries under him could last a month. Yet Le Tong not only managed to persevere, she practically worked overtime with him side by side these past six months.

In work matters, if Special Assistant Yang was Ji Rui's right hand, then Le Tong was his left. With Le Tong, he had gotten used to her being there whenever needed.

Le Tong rolled her eyes at his forehead, knowing she had no right to refuse, she could only reply, "Okay, I'll go out to get a glass of water."

Of course, she said getting water as an excuse, she went out to her suitcase, grabbed a pack of biscuits, quickly munching, and washed it down with water to temporarily stave off her grumbling stomach.

Just after eating two biscuits, she heard the cold-faced boss inside call "Le Tong!", Le Tong stood up with a wry smile, thinking to herself, having such an unfeeling, workaholic boss was a real trial!
