The drive lasted a few more minutes before Stefanos finally slowed down and pulled over beside the road.
She opened the door and stepped down. She raised her head, only to freeze like a popsicle.
Her eyes grew wide like saucers. No way.
They were parked right in front of Varez's company—the very same business man who'd rejected her offer merely because she was a woman.
Her entire body stiffened. Quickly, she spun around to face him, her gaze blazing with anger.
"What the hell is the meaning of this?"
Stefanos lifted a brow. "And what are you talking about?"
"You knew what went with Varez. Why are we at his company?"
He shrugged, entirely unbothered. "Because I have a project meeting with him."
