Glyn feigned innocence. "I don't know what you're talking about, Boss."
"Boss?" The man pinched the bridge of his nose and angrily pulled at his hair. "Are you kidding me? You were supposed to serve Mr. Rassi. What did you do?"
"Nothing."
He stared long and hard at her.
She shook her head. "I really didn't do anything."
"Really?"
"Absolutely, sir."
He gave a sarcastic smile, turned halfway, and pointed toward the door. "You're fired."
Glyn blinked at him. "Seriously?" she asked, brow cocked.
"What do you think?"
"Well, give me back my money. You didn't even let me work twenty-four hours like we agreed."
The man let out a breath, frustration practically steaming from his ears. "Lady, step out of this building or I'm calling the police. You made me lose an important customer, and you have the impetus to ask for your money back? You basically bribed me into hiring you even though you had no resume."
