Stefanos cupped her face, his thumb brushing over her bottom lip. He felt her flinch at his touch, and it amused him.
"Because I'm not going to give another man the chance to have what's mine," he said smoothly. "Whether you like it or not, you belong to me, Diana. And the sooner you understand that, the better. The moment your father signed that paper, you became something I own, and I intend to keep you however I please. So, be prepared to fall for me again if you truly did love me at some point."
A low chuckle slipped from his lips before he let her go, stepping out and closing the door behind him.
He passed her without a word, heading downstairs and out of the house.
Diana stood frozen, eyes empty, then lifted her hand to wipe at her lips.
