The TV played in the quiet office, showing a beautiful reporter with brown hair and a doll-like face. As she finished her segment on the screen, the TV was suddenly switched off.
Sitting behind the mahogany desk, remote in hand, La Garra looked at the five people before him.
All of them stood there without making so much as a sound.
Their eyes shifted between places, and their hands were sweating from being in front of their boss.
"So..." La Garra's voice was deep as he continued to look at the men in front of him, "Is anyone going to tell me what happened?"
He asked, his voice sounding casual and calm. Still, this question caused the three older lieutenants and Diego to step back, their faces covered in sweat and their skin pale as they thought of how the previous lieutenant met his end.
