Ash followed Aurora to the portal with a grumpy face.
"What's her problem?"
[Don't ask meAsh. I'm not the you bumped into.]
"Isn't that her problem as well? She's the one who suddenly came back out of nowhere."
[Why don't you ask her yourself?]
"What am I suppose to ask her then? And won't it be offensive of me if I ask her directly as I don't know their culture?"
[I don't know Ash.]
"Sigh. I can't really rely on you on this kind of topic."
When Ash came through the portal, he saw the disappointments in Demittry's face. Without much of a word they continue to walk through the forest.
Ash could see the magnificent environment inside the portal.
"Hey Demittry, what did I do wrong this time? Why's your face like that?"
Coming to Demittry's side, Ash asked the problem that's been bugging his mind.
"It's just a small problema kid, however, you have to talk to Aurora about it kid."
Demittry replied with a clear disappointment on his face.
"Now he's calling me kid. What did I actually do that could make them act indifferently towards me?"
[I think it's because of what happened earlier. The elves seemed to have a bit peculiar of a culture. However, I am not a hundred percent sure about this information, Ash. You still have to ask her about it.]
Ash couldn't do anything but sighed in frustration as he didn't know what he really did wrong.
After walking for a while, they finally reach the residential area of the elves where they met a massive army of elves showing hostility towards Demittry and Ash.
"Raise your hands or we'll open fire!"
One of the elves that clearly looks like the leader of the platoon yelled, and all of the elves pointed their weapons of their visitors.
"Lucas please, don't act like that in front of the ones that rescued me. Everyone, show them gratitude."
Aurora ordered and immediately all of the elves followed her words and bowede their heads. However, they were still showing a face with hostility towards Ash and Demittry.
"Where have you been, your highness? Everyone has been looking worried for you."
Lucas asked Aurora as he approached her.
"I went on a venture to clear my thoughts. And as far as I know, I am not obliged to ask for your permission, right?"
Aurora walk passed Lucas with a grumpy face.
Hearing the commotions outside, the King of the elves went outside the balcony of the palace.
Everyone bowed their heads including Demittry, but Ash was mesmerized by the beauty of the Elf King that left his mouth wide open.
Having no choice, Demittry holds Ash's head down to show respect.
"And who do we owe this pleasure of saving my daughter?"
With an effortlessly loud voice, the elven King spoke in front of his people.
"Fath… My King, these people save me from the hands of the 'Evil Protector' before I suffer death from its hands. I apologize for disappointing you, your Majesty. But please let me treat them accordingly and show them my gratitude."
Bowing her head, Aurora pleaded her case towards the Elven King.
"Hmm, bring them inside. I want to talk to them."
The Elven King ordered and everyone followed after bowing their heads.
"Yes, your Majesty."
The elven guards guided Ash and Demittry inside the castle but not like a visitor, more like their prisoners.
When they reach the throne room, Demittry and Ash kneeled before the Elf King.
"Please raise your heads. We cannot treat my daughter's saviors like this. Guards leave the room."
The Elven King ordered while sitting in his throne with his hands under his chin.
"Yes, your highness."
The guards left the room, leaving the Elven King, his family, and two royal guards standing beside the throne.
"It's been ages since we last seen each other, right Demittry?"
The Elf King said with a small smile on his face.
Ash was so shock when the Elf King said Demittry's name.
"How does he know Demittry?"
"You've changed a lot, my friend."
The Elven King added.
"And you haven't aged at all Ray. Sometimes I wish I had your bloodline so that I won't age as well."
Demittry replied as he raised his head with a smile on his face.
Hearing the casual respond from the visitor, the royal guards raised their weapons pointing towards Demittry.
"Don't do that to my old comrade, show him some respect."
The Elven King ordered and his royal guards backed down apologetically.
"Your people seem to be so tensed than usual Ray. What happened?"
Noticing the elves' actions, Demittry couldn't help but ask.
The Elf King gests towards Demittry to hold his thoughts before ordering his royal guards to wait outside the room and guard the door.
After all the guards had left the throne room, the King responded to Demittry's question.
"The beef between the Dwarves and Elves had became worse these days Demittry as everyone wants to rule the entire forest all by themselves. And our pact from a long time ago was becoming thinner and thinner as day goes by. So, forgive my people for their attitude earlier.
The Elven King said in an apologetic tone.
"You done have to worry about it, Ray. i completely understand where you and your people are coming from. Moreover, we were ones who came here in your place without knowing the problems that you guys are facing at the moment. So, if anyone was to apologize, it should be us."
Demittry replied as he bowed his head.
Hearing the casual conversation eith the Elven King, Ash was having a conversation with his system in his thought as well.
"What do you think were they talking about, system? Do you have anything to add to their conversation? Just feel free to talk to me."
Ash said to the system while listening to Demittry and the Elf King's conversation.
[Ash, I didn't know you were an eavesdropper kind of guy. And to answer your question, I think they were talking about the dwarves and elves' beef from a very long time ago.]
Ash was so shock after hearing what the system was talking about.
"Beef?"
