Demittry's battle with the bear was approaching its end as he made slashes from all angles, tearing the bear's skin all over it's body.
The bear couldn't keep up with Demittry's speed as it moves slow. However, on its final attack, the bear growled loudly and Demittry was blown backwards due to its loud voice, then it swung it huge arm towards Demittry.
Seeing this attack, Demittry immediately jumped backwards, avoiding the bear's attack. Hitting nothing but the ground, the bear growled once more and it launches itself towards Demittry.
Meanwhile, Ash and Aurora was having a conversation in the sidelines, unbothered to what's happening on Demittry's side.
"I don't know what you're talking about. Anyways, are you really a resident to this forest?"
Ash segway the topic as he didn't know what to answer on Aurora's question.
Noticing Aurora's pointy ears, Ash concluded that Aurora was telling the truth about her race, and he can't let his secrets out yet.
"Then you guys should come to our place, and let the family head talk to you about it."
Shrugging her shoulders, Aurora invited Ash to come over to her place.
"Where was your place anyway? You still haven't cleared that topic yet."
Getting a little bit frustrated and happy at the same time, Ash raised an eyebrow looking at Aurora hoping that she won't open the topic anymore.
"I will show you the way later, after your friend finish dealing with the bear."
Aurora turned her gaze back to the battle and her eyes beamed with excitement.
Back to the battle, Demittry was actually enjoying his time against the bear as fighting it helps him train his body.
"Hmm, you still had a strength left in you huh? Than how about this!?"
Smiling against the bear, Demittry taunts it.
Moving even faster than he already was, Demittry jumps on the bear's blindspot.
Using the dagger in his hand, Demittry channeled a little bit of MANA mixed with his Ki into it, and slash the bear from its nape, killing it instantly.
"I am sorry, and thank you little bear!"
Demittry said as he landed on the ground unscathed.
Ash felt that Demittry's power suddenly rosed for a moment and returned back to normal.
"What was that?"
Ash was shock after seeing the bear's head slowly falls to the ground and its body followed after.
"That was his Ki, your friend was known for that."
Aurora said, as if she knew Demittry all along.
Offering his prayers to the bear's spirit before he began to dissect it body.
Demittry separates all the edible parts and the parts that could be sold, and the most important part of the bear was its head being intact.
Seeing that the battle was finished, Aurora stood up from her seat and approached Demittry.
"Kind and humble Sir, I would like to invite you to our humble abode, in exchange for the bear's head. It would be a pleasure on my family to finally meet you, Sir."
Aurora bowed her head.
Demittry noticed the girl's pointy ears, and her light green hair as he take a look at the girl's image.
"An elf, huh? This is great, I have never seen one in a very long time. Then, we will be happy to accompany you on your way home, little miss?"
Asking the girl's name, Demittry stood up and wipes the bear's blood from his hand and stretch it towards Aurora offering her a handshake.
"It's Aurora. Aurora Timbers, kind Sir."
Smiling as she introduce herself, Aurora grabbed Demittry's hand and shook it.
Demittry was shock and happy to hear the girl's last name.
"Timbers, huh? That reminds me of so many happy memories. Alright, just wait there with Ash for a bit. I'll just finish dissecting the bear's body parts, and then we'll be on our way."
Demittry said before he resumes dissecting everything in the bear's body.
After Demittry finished doing his work, the three of them headed towards the inner part of the inner forest after he orders Ash to bring the bear's head and the edible parts, while the other parts was put inside his spatial storage.
"So, how is he?"
Demittry asked Aurora without context.
"Do you mean my father? Well, he is doing great for his age Sir. He continues to tell us stories about you in his free time."
Assuming that Demittry was talking about her father, she had a big smile explaining to him her father's current hobby.
As they were walking, Ash could see how happy Aurora was when she was talking to Demittry, as if she was talking to her childhood Hero.
"That old folk. I can't believe I have missed him so much."
Demittry had a teary eyes as he reminisce his past.
Ash felt like he was out of place and left out, but he didn't want to interrupt with other people's conversation. So, he just followed them behind without making any noise.
After a few moments of walking, Aurora and Demittry vanished in front of Ash, and he can't sense their presence anymore.
"What? Where did they go!? Hey system, what is happening? I don't think I can understand what just happened, and I think I'm in danger!"
Panicking on the spot, Ash called out the system for help.
[You have nothing to worry about. The system couldn't detect any harm around the area, and it seem the other two went through an invisible portal, which is why they disappeared. Just follow their footsteps and you will eventually find them.]
The system explained.
Following the system's instructions, Ash slowly walked towards the invisible portal.
As he was about to cross the portal, Aurora suddenly came back to call for Ash because he was taking a bit too long to follow them and that's when their heads banged each other.
Falling in their butts, Ash and Aurora holds their itching heads.
"Ouch! Will you watch where you're going?"
Aurora complains as she stood up from the ground.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I am not the one who suddenly appeared out of nowhere, though."
Raising one of his eyebrows, Ash stands up from the ground as well.
"Sigh. Whatever. Just don't be too slow next time. Come on in, no one's gonna bite you."
Aurora said as she went back inside the invisible portal.
