~Alex's POV
I've never seen this face before.
The officer was new, maybe a new rookie or a new transferred officer. That much was clear. His uniform was crisp, his expression unreadable, but the rigid way he held himself told me he wasn't here to negotiate.
"Everyone, hands where I can see them!" the officer barked, his gun pointed directly at me.
I sighed, stepping forward. "There's no need for all this, Officer. Let my men go. I'll come with you." I said, staring at the officer. He was like he hasn't been informed yet and I clicked my tongue musely.
The officer narrowed his eyes. "And why would I do that?"
"Because I was the one who started the fight," I said smoothly, keeping my voice even. "You don't need to take them. Just take me."
I could hear the confusion ripple through my men, but none of them spoke out. They trusted me. Luca, however, wasn't as quiet.
