~Bella's POV
I swallowed hard, trying to process what was happening. Justice? Did Luca do this? Did Alex? Why was this man here? My mind raced with questions, but before I could ask, Luca spoke again.
"Alex wanted him to apologize to you."
My stomach clenched at the thought. An apology? From him? What good would that do? Nothing could erase the terror I had felt that night.
I turned to Margaret, who stood silently beside me. Her expression was unreadable, but the way she avoided my gaze made my unease grow. I then glanced around the room, realizing for the first time that we were not alone.
Everyone was watching. And then there was Slyvia. My breath caught when I saw him, his piercing eyes watching the scene with keen interest. He leaned back against the wall, arms crossed, as if waiting to see what I would do next.
I felt like the entire world was pressing down on me. My hands trembled at my sides. "I…" My voice faltered. I didn't know what to say.
