Chapter 35 - Chapter 35: The Dragon Soul Cauldron

After awakening the Woeful Poison Body, the Little Fairy Doctor could be said to be enveloped in poison.

If this state persisted, she would undoubtedly accidentally harm those around her in the future.

If word got out, the identity of the Little Fairy Doctor and her Woeful Poison Body would be completely exposed. At that point, even the Misty Cloud Sect might no longer tolerate her presence.

At this moment, the Little Fairy Doctor recalled the Poison Devouring and Pill Condensation Technique passed down to her by her teacher.

This technique allowed her to condense the toxins within her body into a Poison Pill.

This pill, imbued with extreme toxicity, could be controlled at will. If she succeeded in condensing the Poison Pill, the risk of accidentally harming others would be eliminated.

With this in mind, the Little Fairy Doctor reviewed the details of the Poison Devouring and Pill Condensation Technique in her mind and returned to her bed to sit cross-legged. Her jade-like hands formed a series of intricate hand seals, and the dou qi within her body surged wildly.

As she continued the hand seals, the black mist in the room gradually drew closer to her, eventually penetrating her body and vanishing.

After a while, the Little Fairy Doctor slowly opened her eyes, a hint of disappointment flickering in her beautiful gaze. "To condense the Poison Pill, the toxicity of this poison isn't strong enough," she murmured.

After some thought, she slowly rose from the bed and left the room.

"Teacher!"

A moment later, outside Gu He's room, the Little Fairy Doctor's voice sounded softly.

"Come in!"

Hearing Gu He's hearty voice, the Little Fairy Doctor gently pushed the door open and entered.

"How do you feel?" Gu He asked, a smile on his face as he observed the Little Fairy Doctor, whose complexion had returned to normal.

"I feel much better," she replied, a joyful expression spreading across her delicate face. She approached Gu He and proudly announced, "Teacher, I've broken through to the Three-Star Dou Practitioner level!"

"As expected of the Woeful Poison Body. Truly extraordinary," Gu He remarked with a smile, though he had already sensed her breakthrough. He simply sighed lightly, his tone filled with admiration.

Overjoyed by Gu He's praise, the Little Fairy Doctor hesitated for a moment before asking, "Teacher, do you still have any poisonous herbs with you?"

"They've already been prepared for you," Gu He replied with a smile. He retrieved a package from his spatial ring and handed it to her.

"Disciple, remember this: it's best not to consume poison too frequently. Rapid increases in strength can easily destabilize your foundation. Take some time to consolidate your current level," Gu He advised, his expression turning serious.

"Understood, Teacher," the Little Fairy Doctor nodded and then slowly left the room.

Time flew by, and soon ten days had passed.

In the courtyard, within the Little Fairy Doctor's room, she sat cross-legged on her bed, surrounded by a thick, swirling black mist. Her hands moved in mysterious patterns, forming intricate hand seals.

As she continued, the black mist in the room surged toward her, as if summoned by some unseen force, and was absorbed into her body.

After a while, the thick black mist in the room had completely dissipated.

Within the Little Fairy Doctor's body, at the center of her Dou Qi vortex, a black pill floated serenely.

Wisps of black mist passed through the Dou Qi vortex and slowly merged into the pill.

When the last wisp of black gas merged into the pill, the Little Fairy Doctor's hands gradually stilled, and she opened her eyes. With a slight mental probe, she assessed her current state.

"Nine-Star Dou Practitioner!"

In a short period of time, the Little Fairy Doctor had broken through from a Three-Star Dou Practitioner to a Nine-Star Dou Practitioner. If news of this cultivation speed spread, it would undoubtedly shock the world.

With an excited expression, she slowly rose from the bed and made her way to Gu He's room.

Meanwhile, in Gu He's room...

"Teacher, I've successfully broken through to the Six-Star Dou Practitioner level!" Liu Ling announced excitedly, standing before Gu He.

"Well done. You've indeed made a breakthrough," Gu He said with a smile, observing Liu Ling, who wore a half-face mask.

Ten days had passed, and now that Liu Ling had successfully completed his breakthrough, it was time to reward him.

"Hehe..." Liu Ling chuckled sheepishly, his eyes gleaming with anticipation as he looked at Gu He. "Teacher, you said that if I managed to break through, you would..."

"Look at you, so eager..." Gu He couldn't help but laugh and scold him lightly. With a thought, he retrieved the Red Snake Cauldron from his spatial ring.

"Here, this Red Snake Cauldron is yours from now on," Gu He declared with a wave of his hand.

Liu Ling's eyes lit up as he gazed at the Red Snake Cauldron before her. "Thank you, Teacher!" he exclaimed, his voice filled with gratitude.

Gu He smiled faintly but said nothing more. A glimmer of anticipation flashed in his eyes.

'I wonder what kind of treasure I'll receive this time?'

The next moment, the long-awaited system notification sounded in his mind.

[Ding! Detected that the host has granted the Red Snake Cauldron to the first disciple, Liu Ling.]

[Congratulations to the host for triggering the 9,999x return! You have obtained the fourth-ranked cauldron on the Heavenly Cauldron Ranking: the Dragon Soul Cauldron!]

[The Dragon Soul Cauldron has been stored into the system space. Please check and collect it, Host.]

Hearing the system's prompt, Gu He was momentarily stunned.

'Fourth on the Heavenly Cauldron Ranking? The Dragon Soul Cauldron?'

He recalled that in the original story, Yao Chen had mentioned the Heavenly Cauldron Ranking.

It was said that in the alchemy world, alongside the Heavenly Flame Ranking, there existed the Heavenly Cauldron Ranking. As the name suggested, this ranking recorded the most exceptional and perfect medicinal cauldrons.

There were a total of thirteen cauldrons on the list, each possessing extraordinary powers that attracted countless alchemists.

Gu He remembered that Yao Chen possessed a cauldron from the Heavenly Cauldron Ranking—the Ten Thousand Beasts Cauldron, which ranked eighth. But now, he had obtained the Dragon Soul Cauldron, which ranked fourth!

Seeing Liu Ling still immersed in the joy of receiving the Red Snake Cauldron, Gu He focused his mind, and his consciousness entered the system space.

As his consciousness entered the system space, Gu He's eyes immediately fell upon a golden medicinal cauldron the size of a small table.

The cauldron exuded a sturdy and majestic aura, with a faint, calming energy surrounding it.

On its surface were intricate carvings of several lifelike dragon-shaped creatures. Upon closer inspection, the details of these dragon patterns were so vivid that they seemed almost real.

For a moment, Gu He thought he could hear the faint sound of dragon roars emanating from the cauldron.

"What a magnificent cauldron!" Gu He couldn't help but exclaim in admiration. Compared to the Red Snake Cauldron, this golden medicinal cauldron was on an entirely different level.

A pill cauldron was one of the most crucial tools for an alchemist. A high-quality cauldron could significantly increase the success rate of alchemy.

"This is the Dragon Soul Cauldron... Truly worthy of its fourth-place ranking on the Heavenly Cauldron Ranking. Its presence is extraordinary," Gu He murmured, his eyes shining with excitement as he gazed at the cauldron before him.
