Chapter 64 - Ten-Headed Fiery Sun Snake's Inner Core

But the Ten-Headed Fiery Sun Snake was coiled ahead. If he wanted to avoid the snake without being discovered, he would have to fly a much longer distance.

And he might encounter other soul beasts farther from the Hell Road.

In that case, he could only fly through the air with his wings. With no place to land, the danger of the battle would increase drastically.

It would be better to kill the Ten-Headed Fiery Sun Snake right here on the Hell Road. If he could obtain its inner core, this journey wouldn't be in vain.

The Ten-Headed Fiery Sun Snake wasn't a soul beast native to this world.

It was a primordial beast, extremely venomous, possessing the strongest fire poison among all snakes. After cultivating for ten thousand years, it could form an inner core hidden within the nine heads on its back.

When the inner core appeared, heaven and earth would lose color. If one obtained this inner core, all serpents would flee in fear.

It was the sovereign among snakes.

The inner core could neutralize any snake venom, suppress all serpentine creatures, and could even be used as a soul ring.

Thinking of this, Yu Tianming continued running toward the Ten-Headed Fiery Sun Snake.

Before long, he saw the strange snake.

And of course, the snake also saw him.

The Ten-Headed Fiery Sun Snake raised its tongue slowly from its crouched position on the narrow path. Its golden-red eyes lit up like lanterns. Accompanied by a rustling sound, the dark red serpent began to slither forward.

As it advanced, an invisible pressure filled the air.

From a hundred meters away, the strange snake let out croaking cries like a wailing infant. The nine fleshy lumps on its back began to emit a golden-red light.

"Guwaa—"

When only twenty meters separated them, the snake launched its first attack. A fiery red beam shot from its mouth, carrying a pungent stench as it surged toward Yu Tianming.

What was terrifying was that the flame didn't fly through the air but crawled along the ground, quickly spreading across the narrow path.

In this situation, an average soul master would have no way to dodge on the Hell Road.

The crimson flames rippled violently along the path, even producing cracking sounds as it scorched the stone. Worse still, a faint red mist hovered over the flames. It was clear without asking—this mist was laced with deadly poison.

'If Tang San saw this, wouldn't he just splash some realgar wine and neutralize the poison like he did with Dugu Yan's snake venom?'

But Yu Tianming didn't have any realgar wine, and he knew that realgar only repelled snakes with its foul smell—it didn't actually detoxify anything.

Even if he had realgar on hand, Yu Tianming wouldn't bet on whether it worked in the Douluo world.

He took a deep breath, calmed himself, and suppressed his urge to kill. Then he kicked off the ground and spread his wings.

Since the distance was short, Yu Tianming leapt and glided in one smooth motion, landing directly above the Ten-Headed Fiery Sun Snake's heads.

This beast was massive, but its reaction speed wasn't slow. It opened its bloody maw, revealing rows of razor-sharp teeth, and lunged upward to bite him.

Yu Tianming, instead of being alarmed, was overjoyed. Holding his breath, he dove straight into the giant mouth.

His feet landed on the lower jaw while his hands propped up the upper jaw, prying the snake's mouth open to its widest.

Seeing someone voluntarily enter its mouth, the snake's enormous eyes revealed a trace of glee. Deep crimson flames began to gather in its throat.

The mouth, scorched by the earlier flames, was already searing hot, with the sweet metallic mist swirling inside.

The environment was truly harsh. If Hu Liena were here, she would've lost her ability to fight on the spot. But Yu Tianming had absorbed the Ice and Fire Immortal Herbs—his fire and poison resistance were maxed out.

Seeing the flames gather in the snake's throat made Yu Tianming even happier. His three dragon heads began breathing simultaneously.

One sprayed fire, one released lightning, and the last blew wind.

The wind fanned the fire, and the extreme flames instantly surged through the snake's mouth, charging toward the light deep in its throat. Golden lightning wreaked havoc within its fire-resistant mouth.

The Ten-Headed Fiery Sun Snake howled in pain and tried to spit out its own inferno.

Though Yu Tianming's dragon heads were small, they unleashed the purest fire and wind. The snake, large as it was, could only emit foul, poisonous flames. The two fires—one bright red, the other dark crimson—clashed violently in its throat.

In its golden-red eyes, fear finally appeared. The nine fleshy lumps on its back glowed brighter than ever.

"Guwaa—guwaa—" Angry screeches came from its gut.

Its body arched on the narrow path. The nine lumps aligned toward Yu Tianming's position.

Suddenly, all nine lumps exploded, shooting out golden-red liquid—not directly at him, but aimed at the air above him.

The nine streams of liquid merged midair and paused briefly above Yu Tianming's head.

Then they contracted into a small golden-red orb the size of a fist. It arced through the air, bypassing the upper jaw and slamming toward Yu Tianming's back.

Although he was inside the snake's mouth, Yu Tianming constantly monitored his surroundings using electromagnetic sensing.

Sensing the formation of the inner core, he stopped his breath attacks and rolled deeper into the serpent's throat.

His scaled armor clashed with the snake's vicious teeth, making metallic clanging sounds.

With his fire attacks stopped, the poisonous flames surged out, wrapping around Yu Tianming.

But he ignored them, crouching at the far end of the mouth, just a few meters from the throat. His hands formed sharp dragon claws infused with the ultimate wind and stabbed upward.

As a member of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan, Yu Tianming could only hunt sub-dragon-type soul beasts.

Most of these, like the Phoenix-Tailed Crest Serpent, had snake-like forms.

So Yu Tianming knew all the weak points of snakes.

He struck at a spot directly beneath the snake's brain—its thinnest, boneless weak point.

Having just expelled its inner core, the Ten-Headed Fiery Sun Snake's defenses were already weakened. How could it possibly block Yu Tianming's devastating dragon-claw strike?

Sensing the threat to its life, the snake's inner core shot forward at incredible speed.

At the same time Yu Tianming's dragon claw pierced into its head, the golden-red core slammed into his back.

His dragon-scaled armor shattered inch by inch as the core embedded itself into his flesh.

The Ten-Headed Fiery Sun Snake, its brain ravaged by Yu Tianming's claws, lost all light in its eyes as the inner core struck him.

Its massive body twitched once, then collapsed limply on the narrow path. Due to its raised posture during the attack, it lost balance and began sliding toward the abyss.

Yu Tianming, enduring the searing pain in his back, pried open the serpent's mouth and scrambled out.
