Meeting Bonnie's angry glare, Derek nonchalantly set the lipstick down, pulled out his wallet, and asked, "How much? I'll pay for it."
He took out a card and handed it to her. "Is this enough?"
Comments: Ahhhh it's enough, it's more than enough!
Seeing Bonnie stay silent, Derek raised an eyebrow and pulled out another card. "Still not enough?"
Comments: WooWooWoo Daddy Derek is so generous! Bonnie, he didn't do it on purpose, just forgive him already!
Still no response. Derek frowned, looking slightly troubled, then pulled out one final card, hesitating. "This should cover it, right?"
Fuming, Bonnie snatched all the cards from his hand.
Generous? Those were her cards!
Her! Own! Cards!
Derek slid one hand into his pocket, watching her puff up like an angry pufferfish. He chuckled lightly and tossed the ruined lipstick into the trash like nothing had happened.
And just like that, it was as if nothing had ever occurred.
