Nicole led me to the bedroom we now shared after restoring order by way of screaming at my dad. Her scream was unexpected so I flinched at the sound of it. In the bedroom, Levi was wide awake, he must have been aroused from sleep following Nicole's sudden scream downstairs but he wasn't crying which was good for me. I had so much racing inside my head at this point to pacify a crying baby.
She made me sit on one side of the king-sized bed, and placed Levi on my arms. After looking at Levi's bright eyes for a few minutes, I made a face at him, and he responded with a chuckle, one that surprised me, and even Nicole.
Soon, I was playing with him while he laughed uncontrollably, causing the others to grow jealous. Gradually, I felt myself loosening up from the tension and anger which was built inside me in the last couple of minutes.
