But why would he try to kill him?" Bethany asked, unable to wrap her head around what was going on.
"Scott must properly know something we don't know," Gray replied with a grave expression.
"Do you know why he did so? Does he have any secrets?" Gray asked, but this time, he didn't get any response.
"Scott?" He called out repeatedly, but he didn't get any response.
Gray placed his finger under his nose, and he closed his eyes when he couldn't feel any breath coming from him.
"What's wrong?" Bethany asked, feeling a sense of foreboding.
"He is dead." Gray announced, leaving her stupefied.
"I told you we needed to save him, and we will never be able to find out what Mason was hiding since the only person who could tell us is dead," Bethany slapped her forehead, while Gray had a guilty expression on his face.
"He would still have died" Gray argued.
"But we could have kept him alive for a while, then get the necessary information needed," Bethany scoffed.
