While Arthur, Rain, and Watson dealt against the horde of Fiends, Silvera and Teresia fought the giant far from the ensuing battle.
Silvera's bastard blade, RulerofFlames, was engulfed in crimson fire as she activated her weapon's skill, BlazingRage. She swung her weapon on the giant's skin, leaving burning, open wounds that sizzled the giant's tough flesh.
Meanwhile, Teresia's lightning made things worse for the giant. She activated her rapier's skill, CriticalStrike, that left countless crater to the giant's body. As her Thunder Blade struck the giant's flesh, she also conjured Shock Wave that spreads throughout the giant's body, making the gigantic Fiend spasm from the shock.
While the giant was stunned, Silvera conjured Fire Balls from point blank range. The skill struck the giant's face, making the Fiend fall backwards to the ground. The giant roared, causing a powerful shockwave that pushed the cousins away from the Fiend.
Silvera and Teresia are cousins. Their mothers are sisters. The Roses family and Imperial family are close to each other. The two families became royals together and reached the top of the royalty together as they have their backs to one another. The Roses family is known for their affinity in Fire, while the Imperial family is known for their affinity in Lightning.
Long time ago, the Imperial family was able to produce the first QueenofLightning since the creation of Zolgar. Upon hearing this news, the Roses family didn't just stay down quietly. They also were able to create the first Queen of Flames, rivaling the house Imperial. But despite their rivalry, the two families were friends.
There was an incident that happened a hundred years ago. One of the royal families tried to destroy the Roses family because they taught that the Roses and Imperial were no longer friends due to their rivalry. Alas, that family died from the hands of the Imperial family, leaving no descendant until this day.
The giant stood up and charged towards the cousins. It swung its fists, but the cousins dodged the attacks with ease. After finding an opening, Teresia went in first. Her rapier was able to pierce through the giant's tough flesh thanks to Critical Strike. Through the open wound, she conjured Shock Wave that electrified the giant from the inside.
Silvera came second. She swung her blade against the giant's flesh, creating a gaping wound that burned in intense heat.
"One more, cousin!" Silvera said. Alas, they became complacent, thinking that the giant would go down easily.
Little did they know that the giant we placed is no ordinary giant.
"Are you sure this is okay, Master Zargasha?" I asked, still unsure about the 'giant' we put in the field. "The kids might die."
But Master Zargasha scoffed. "Oh please. Those kids are strong. Besides, war doesn't treat anyone kindly. This is a good opportunity for them to experience fighting something beyond their level."
A pillar of darkness enveloped the giant's body while at the same time, it released a powerful shockwave that pushed the cousins far away. Soon, the giant's body transformed into a wyvern. Its scales were dark, while the wyvern's wings were broken and have holes on it to prevent it from flying. Meanwhile, the wyvern's eyes were purple slit, glaring at the cousins in rage while showing its sharp fangs with its saliva drooping all over the ground.
"That's a freaking wyvern?" Silvera said, surprised.
"The only good thing is that its wings are broken, so it can't fly. But it's better to be careful still. Despite its broken appearance, that wyvern is still powerful." Teresia said.
"No crap, sherlock. Thanks to the obvious warning." Silvera scoffed, making Teresia's eyes roll. "I say we find its soft spot and attack it."
"Go for its belly, then. Assuming the wyvern is kind enough to let us attack its belly." Teresia said. "Lightning is its weakness too. While I fight that thing with lightning, you find an opening to strike its belly."
Before Silvera could say a word, Teresia charged forward with her body engulfed in lightning.
"Damn. Showoff!" Silvera said and hid from the fight to wait for an opening to appear so she could strike.
