Zane POV
The half-moon hung high above the sky, casting its glow over the servants and bodyguards moving all around the mansion.
I'd been sitting by the window for what felt like forever, even though I could have been lying down. But then again, my buttocks had started to hurt from lying flat on my back, staring up at the ceiling. So I decided to roam around my room, only to eventually end up standing near the window, taking in the view.....not just of the mansion, but the city beyond, bright with lights and echoing with the loud blare of car horns.
Sofia had come to invite me to dinner several times, but I turned her down each time. I even made sure to lock my door tightly to prevent her or any of the Alphas from barging in.
Silas had also been texting me, apologizing for the kiss. He claimed he only did it to stop the bleeding.
Like seriously? Is he a fucking first aid kit? Or maybe he's a vampire who sucks blood?
