CHAPTER 35
Kael was still sparring with the instructor when Jung-I, his assistant, called his name. He ended the round and returned to his side of the room. He asked his assistant that if ever his phone rang, he should be notified in an instant. Kalista looked at him weirdly as he walked past her. He didn't even spare her any glance and went straight to Jung-I.
Kalista followed him with her gaze. She could sense that there must be something going on in his life. And it was important for Kael to get unfocused in the training, and he seemed to be on edge the entire afternoon.
What could have gotten his attention away from work?
Kael had kept on glancing at his assistant, though he'd told him to interrupt them anytime someone called. Something gnawed at him—restlessness he couldn't shake. He hadn't heard anything from his butler or any of his people. No updates. No news. Just silence. He couldn't understand the worry or the anticipation he had.
