AT THE SAME TIME

The air in the shrine was still, thick with disbelief.
I held Isabella's hand like it was the only anchor I had left. Her fingers had twitched. Her breathing was steadier now. But still... I couldn't breathe right until I saw her eyes. A familiar chime echoed in the air, followed by that all-too calm, unnervingly cheerful voice.
"Congratulations, Players. The antidote has been successfully administered. Twelve event is completed. Vital signs stabilizing across all female participants. Emergency event avoided. Well done. Also, a special note: Seeing several male players weeping, panicking, and kissing unconscious hands was unexpectedly dramatic. Log updated with excessive emotional responses. Proceed to recovery phase. Or, as some of you have muttered... cuddle time."System said.
