Julian's jaw tightened. "You don't find it suspicious? The timing? The necklace? Anthony doesn't do things without reason."


"If he tries to sabotage me, he sabotages his own event. He's not that dumb," she retorted coolly. "Besides, how did you know I was here? Are you stalking me now?"


Alex found his actions suspicious. First, he suddenly appeared at Lauren's gala, an event he had never bothered to attend before. And now he suddenly waltzed into the same cafe as her.
