Welt let out a brutal gasp as he awoke on the cold hard floor.
"I… live?"
At the realisation, an overjoyed cry emerged from his throat.
"I live!!"
He scrambled back up to his feet as he quickly looked around, checking for anyone left. Thankfully, there didn't seem to be anyone.
"Hahaha, it seems like fate favours me!" Welt laughed loudly. He took a step forwards toward the door as he cursed. "Those fucking brats. I'll destroy them when I get bet-"
He didn't even finish the thought.
"Huh?"
There was no sound. No warning. Just an abrupt, clean silence as Welt's body froze.
Slowly, like a puppet with its strings cut, he looked down.
A hair-thin red line glowed faintly across his torso.
"What…?"
And then, the world tilted.

As Kiana and I returned home, we stood at the door as Bronya remained outside. She was about to return to her own home but stopped when I called out to her.
"Bronya."
"Yes?"
The girl still couldn't properly meet my eyes at the moment.
But seeing her unguarded appearance, an intrusive thought entered my mind.
A smile appearing on my face, I quickly placed my hand on her head before quickly ruffling it a bit.
"Subject Gojo! What are you doing?!"
A blush visibly appeared on Bronya's face as she backed off a little. Yet at the very least, it allowed for her to make eye contact with me again.
"Hehe. You were distracted."
She let out a disgruntled snort. "Don't touch the Bronya on the head…"
Her voice trailed off.
"The Bronya won't grow taller if you do so…"
I laughed out loud at that.
"You actually believe that?"
"The Bronya read it on the internet."
"You do realise you're 13 already right? I'd understand if you were like… 5?"
A frown appeared on her face as she argued. "Growth period for girls extends until the age of 18!"
"Yea yea. Whatever you say."
I swear I saw Bronya's eye twitch.
But all good things had to come to an end as the round moon hung brightly in the sky.
"Goodnight, Bronya."
"Goodnight, Gojo. Kiana."
A smile appeared on her face.
"Goodnight!" Kiana reciprocated with a big smile on her face.
When the door closed, I was met with the glaring face of Kiana Kaslana.
"What? Do you want one too?" I teased.
The white haired girl's face scrunched. "Hmph. You've been leaving me out of all the fun things these past few days!"
I shrugged. "It's complicated. I barely figured things out a while ago."
"We… could have worked together to figure things out?"
"Is that a question?"
That made Kiana let out a snort in response. With a whip of her braids(which made me really want to give them a Specialz treatment), she ran off.
It was only after a moment had passed before her head poked out through the corner of the wall again.
"Next time, please tell me ok? I get worried."
My eyes widened slightly when I heard that. I quickly recovered however as I composed myself.
"I will, Kiana."
At that, she gave out a toothy grin as she ran back in front of me again. She placed her hands behind her back as she couldn't bring herself to look at me…
A bit like Bronya just now.
But by looking at her reactions…
"I said that you can't leave me out right…"
I blinked.
Then I let out an amused yet exasperated sigh.
"You're such a handful sometimes, Kiana"
She stuck out her tongue.
Despite my words, I still head patted her as well. In response, Kiana mewled slightly before a redness quickly came to her cheeks.
"Errr… well… it's been a long day…" She nervously chuckled. "Goodnight. Bye!"
And she was gone again.
I watched all of this with an amused smile still on my face.
"Goodnight Kiana."

"How do we get rid of this?"
I asked as I stood next to Ryoma.
In front of us were the large amounts of Honkai devices that I had taken at the warehouse. And more importantly, there was the bomb looking thing in a crate.
"I'll get some trusted men to deal with this. You did a really good job this time finding this out from Cocolia."
I deadpanned at him. "You're talking to me like I'm your employee or something."
"Sorry. It's a force of habit"
"Anyways, you were talking about men?"
"Yes. From Anti-Entropy."
"No." I refused firmly. "Wouldn't Cocolia just get it back again in that case? She could just try again and again. My actions now would be pointless."
Ryoma sighed "I get your concern but we are in different factions."
I raised an eyebrow.
"Cocolia is from the Innovation Faction while I'm from the Conservative Faction." Ryoma explained. "Anti-Entropy was created by our Sovereign, Welt. But he's gone missing so there's a big fight going on between factions."
Hearing that, my face became numb.
Isn't Welt… that guy I killed?
Did I just kill their leader?
But if he's their leader, wasn't he too weak?
Even Mei who was only partially awakened was a more difficult fight than he was. To be fair, I was a fair bit stronger now than back then though.
"Man… your faction is so screwed up"
"I know right?"
"But I still can't trust you guys fully." I said, "Do you think that we could just toss all of this into the ocean or something?"
"Sure. That's what everyone does."
"... Seriously?"
"Yea. We just treat it like nuclear waste."
"Isn't that… like banned?"
"Hahaha."
"You're joking right?"
"Hahahaha."
My face flattened like a deflated pancake.
I don't know if I can look at sushi the same way ever again.

I just realised.
It doesn't matter to me.
I'd just adapt.

I should just eat more then in the future.
Maybe I could become the Hulk!
On second thought, I don't really want to become green… I kinda liked the way I look right now.
And in the end, both Ryoma and I just laughed together.
The employees at the side weren't laughing as much though.
"Are they allowed to listen to this by the way?" I asked as I pointed my thumb at them.
"It's an open secret. Plus, these guys are all from Anti-Entropy as well."
"You're ok with the seafood then?"
"I get it from a safe source."
At that, I heard a grumble about 'Damn rich people' or something.
"Cool. By the way, I think I killed your leader."
"What the fuck?"
"Don't worry though. I left him in…" I paused as I forced my laugh down. "Two pieces."
"You gotta be kidding me… That does not make it better!"
"You're right. Maybe it was three pieces."
"..."
Yup. The resulting conversation would be pretty long.
