He raised it up in the light coming from the lamps in his room,
"Cool...it's already grown so much. I wonder what it will do when it grows even bigger, will it become the size of a real dragon?"
Yue rumbled and spoke up,
"Hmm...I think the Bloodbane, hmm not ring anymore. The Bloodbane Dragon has changed, and I think we should be able to use it in new ways. Before resting, test this out."
Hou nodded and as he thought if there's a training ground and again his badge vibrated. He pinched the badge,
"How does this work... As soon as I think of where I need I get the knowledge I need..."
Hou walked out of his room and walked to the training ground; while on the way he gathered up Lan Qiang too.
When he entered into the training grounds he saw in the shadows a person emerge. With shining black hair and piercing red eyes with pale white jade skin.
"You Hu Li?"
"Yes?"
"I'm Jin, I'll follow your little group for a bit. If you disappoint me, I'm leaving."
"O...Kay? How about tomorrow I properly show you to our group. This is Lan Qiang by the way,"
She nodded slightly then went back to the edge of the training grounds and watched on. Hou looked back and then quietly spoke to Lan Qiang,
"I'm just going to test out a new thing; I don't know what it will do so maybe sit back with Jin?"
"Okay, I can do that. Good luck, Hu Li!"
Lan Qiang walked back and stabbed his spear into the ground and leaned on it. He watched as Hou stepped onto the dusty ground of the training plot.
It was a large open area plot with dusty dirt. Hou stepped into the grounds and then closed his eyes while cracking his neck.
"Yue, what should I check first?"
"Hmm, just send some willpower into the Bloodbane Dragon and test the dimensional slash first. Since it's weak, it should still be purely physical."
"Okay, I'll try that first then..."
Hou held out his hand and then sent willpower into the Bloodbane Dragon. The red skeletal figured pulled and started to flow. Then blood was taken from Hou's body and he felt it drain as, from his palm, a blood blade formed.
Then it short forward and flew threw the air with a whistle. As it hit the ground, a stroke of dust was dislodged and a deep gash was made in the ground.
Then Hou felt his quasi-Nascent Soul pulse and the healing laws it absorbed activated, the blood absorbed by the dragon refilling.
"Okay, that seems pretty usable. What else?"
"Now try funnelling in willpower but focus on the dragon itself. Not like you are powering it, but you are enhancing it."
Hou nodded and then a scrunched his fist, as he did, he focused on sending willpower I to the dragon. Not to power a blade but into the structure itself.
Then the shiny crimson dragon on the surface of Hou's hand and wrist became dull and thicker. It became a shield which would block an attack. Hou looked at it then looked back of Lan Qiang watching on the sidelines.
"Hey, Lan Qiang! Can you just stab my hand or wrist, just lightly at first."
Lan Qiang smiled as he pulled out his spear and spun in it into the air. Then he walked over to Hou with the spear by his when he quickly thrust to Hou as he was caught off guard.
The blade collided with the dragon and clinked, then slid off the side, just cutting Hou's wrist in the side. Black blood with galaxy flecks started to bead but then the quasi-Nascent Soul with healing laws activated and his wound stitched up, the blood returning inside.
Hou flicked his wrist then said,
"Harder."
Lan Qiang nodded and gathered a bit of strength before thrusting again. The spear hit the crystal blood dragon but then shook as it tried to pierce.
But it could not pierce the hard crystal and instead could only slide right off and do nothing. As the spear was to hit Hou's wrist unprotected by the dragon, Hou had an idea.
He inserted a large amount of will into the Bloodbane Dragon and used it to control it. He moved the dragon within his skin, protecting his wrist. Hou smiled and hand another idea, with inspiration from other paths.
He gained inspiration from Hamar and his hand edge technique. He took the dull shield of crystals and transformed it into a blade, which was ten covered in a constant blood edge.
However, quickly as he created it, he realised it could not be controlled. Essentially he was just cooking the large blood slash and keeping it near himself.
It was hard to control and if it exploded it would cut himself up and accidently hit Lan Qiang. Quickly he aimed his fist downwards and let go, the blade wobbling as it moved through the air and exploded on the ground before Hou and Lan Qiang.
Lan Qiang was blown back and slid, Hou was similarly blown back but instead he did not despair. Instead he grinned,
"This might seem like a failure. But it did work, it just needs tweaking and Master Sheng is a master at blood path, he should be able to help me understand what I need to do. Not only that. By accident... I've created a new attack. I wasn't consciously trying but it reminds me of Hamar's aura explosion. Instead of aura it is blood laws..."
Lan Iiang swing his leg and massaged it,
"That was quite strong, did you lose control over there for a second. I understand now why you wanted me to stay back haha"
Jin watched on with squinting eyes, she, just like her father, was mainly focused on blood path. She watched the dragon move under Hou's flesh and looked with her consciousness a the blood laws...
"Is that... The Dao of blood?"
